Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ran Ilani raised to 10,000 from the cutoff. Nicholas Verderamo moved all in on the button with 46,000 in chips.

Ilani tanked for a time, then finally made the call.

Ran Ilani: A3

Verdano needed to dodge Ilani's one over for the double-up and managed to do so in a runout of 26523.

Foxen Puts Tamayo to the Test

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jonathan Tamayo checked the 3AJ flop from the cutoff, and Alex Foxen slid out a bet of 10,000 on the button. Tamayo called, checking again on the 6 turn.

Foxen fired again for 40,000, and the call was made. One last check from Tamayo followed the 7 river, and Foxen took some time before announcing all in.

Tamayo sent his cards into the muck, and Foxen took down the pot.

Sokolovsky Takes Out Zhu

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Alexander Sokolovsky raised to 16,000 from the small blind and Yueqi Zhu defended the big blind with a call.

The flop hit 794. Sokolovsky bet 25,000 and Zhu called again.

On the 3 turn, Sokolovsky fired 37,000 chips at the pot. Zhu studied for awhile, then raised all in. Sokolovsky quickly called.

Yueqi Zhu: A2xAll in
Alexander Sokolovsky: KJ

Zhu had the nut-flush draw, but Sokolovsky had already turned a king-high flush and just needed to fade the river. The 8 is what landed and Zhu's tournament was over.

O'Connor continued for 9,000, with only Kim calling to see the 9 turn. O'Connor checked to Kim, who slid out a bet of 15,000. That was enough to claim the pot, as O'Connor let his hand go.

There were roughly 35,000 chips in the pot on KQ4.

Alex Foxen checked from the big blind to Arthur Thiriart under the gun, who also checked, before Benedetto Bianco checked behind on the button.

When the K fell on the turn, Foxen led for 12,000. Thiriart folded, but Bianco called. Both players checked the 3 river, and Bianco tabled A4 to win the pot.

Ace-Six Off and Out for Hays

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Antonin Hays
Antonin Hays

After being chopped up by Kyle Julius and left with a measly 8,000 in chips, Antonin Hays hoped to spin those back into a workable stack.

He picked up four times his stack when he went all in on the button and took down a pot with A6.

Shortly thereafter, Hays moved all of his newly-acquired chips into the pot as the big blind, and he was called by Joao Simao.

Antonin Hays: A6All in
Joao Simao: QJ

Players at the table, sans Simao, were openly rooting for the symmetrical kismet of back-to-back double-ups courtesy of ace-six.

Alas, it wasn't meant to be. Simao flopped a pair of jacks and rivered a third in the runout of 35J9J to send Hays home.

Mateos Cracks Aces

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Edward Leonard raised from under the gun to 10,000, and Adrian Mateos moved all in on the button for 76,000. Action folded back to Leonard, who snapped in a call.

Adrian Mateos: KK All in
Edward Leonard: AA

The hand was setting up as a cooler to see Mateos out, and Leonard stayed in front on the Q72 flop. The table stayed silent as the K hit the turn, giving Mateos a set. Nothing further changed on the 8 river, and Leonard paid the double-up across the table.
