Two More Doubles on the Bubble

Level 17

Limit Hold'em

Dan Smith was all in for 60,000 on the button and Alexander Kostritsyn called in the big blind. After Carol Fuchs had doubled, the showdown proceeded.

Dan Smith: A10 All in
Alexander Kostritsyn: 102

The deuce came in the window but also an ace on the A52 flop, the J turn and 3 river kept Smith in contention.

One table over, Ali Eslami raised from under the gun and Julien Sitbon three-bet. Eslami four-bet and Sitbon asked the floor if a five-bet would cap the action after which he called.

"Why did you do that?" Eslami joked, then bet the 1092 flop for Sitbon to call. They checked the 5 turn and Eslami's bet on the 5 river won the pot.

They proceeded to the next hand on the same table during which David Steicke jammed the button for 50,000. Eslami was in the big blind with 30,000 already in and said "I am not slow rolling, I have a good hand". Nearly a minute passed before Eslami called and they already flipped over the cards while waiting for the other tables to finish their action.

David Steicke: A9 All in
Ali Eslami: K10

While they waited, Eslami told a story where one such bubble fold for very few chips more in a previous event had turned into drama.

Once the action could proceed, the board came J104A4 and Steicke also doubled.
