Brian Hawkins

Brian Hawkins limped in from the cutoff, and Haviv Bahar moved all in for 120,000 from the small blind.

Hawkins called for his remaining 30,000 chips and Bahar tabled {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} while Hawkins showed {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Bahar made a full house to send Hawkins to the rail.

2015 WSOP Casino Employees Event Champion Brandon Barnette Eliminated

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Brandon Barnette
Brandon Barnette

The last WSOP bracelet winner in the field, Brandon Barnette, has hit the rail.

He won this very same event in 2015 for $75,704, and cashed last year in 55th place for a payout of $1,278. Today's finish means Barnette has cashed in this event for three years in a row. Interestingly enough, these are also his only career cashes.

In his final hand, Barnette got his remaining stack in the middle with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and was flipping with Jermel Stephens' {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Barnette's impressive run was over.

Last Break of the Day

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Just 21 players remain in the Casino Employees event on the last break of the night.

Play resumes in about 20 minutes, after which time play will conclude.

Day 2 begins at noon tomorrow, and will play down to a winner.

Cordova Goes Flush Over Flush

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Don McDonald limped from early position and Alex Cordova raised directly to his right to 25,000. Action was folded back around to McDonald who called and the two players went heads up to the flop.

The dealer spread the flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} and both players checked. Both players also checked on the {K-Spades} turn.

When the {6-Spades} came on the river, McDonald bet 40,000 and Cordova instantly called. McDonald showed {3-Spades}{2-Spades} for a baby flush, and Cordova rolled over {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for a bigger flush.

Loc Tran Falls at the Hands of Chris Solomon

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Loc Tran moved all in for 55,000 from under the gun, and Chris Solomon called on the button.

Solomon tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, while Tran was well behind with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Tran still needed one of the two remaining fours in the deck to stay alive.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, giving Tran some outs to make a straight, but the river was the {5-Spades}. Tran was eliminated, and Solomon continued to build his stack.

Kim Eliminates the Last Remaining Lady, Score Double KO!

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Adrianne Hall
Adrianne Hall

There was a three-way all-in preflop, and Victor Kim came out on top scoring a double knockout. Kim called two all-ins with {8-}{8-} and when the flop came {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}, his opponents were merely drawing dead. Kim took over the chip lead with the recent eliminations of Jesse Kertland, and the last remaining lady, Adrianne Hall.
