Davies Survives

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The button raised and Scott Davies shoved his short stack of around 2,000 in with the {K-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The button quickly called with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and saw the board run out {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. "At least it was only 2,000," the small blind joked and Davies stayed in. Next to him is Sam Cohen who has teamed up with Ryan Laplante.

Stout Folds the Turn

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Matt Stout
Matt Stout

Matt Stout raised to 400 from under the gun and picked up two callers, including the big blind. The flop fell {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and the action checked to Stout, who bed 525. Both opponents called and the big blind then bet the {5-Spades} turn, which saw Stout fold and the third player in the hand call.

The {5-Diamonds} river saw a bet, raise, shove, and call, and both players showed an ace without a kicker to chop up the pot. Despite giving up this pot, Stout and his teammate(s) are on an average stack in Level 4

James Woods Joins Jason Wheeler's Table

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Rows of tables are being broken fast and a lot of the players are moving around to find their next new assigned seats. One of them was actor and producer James Woods who recently brought his 4,725 chips to the table where Jason Wheeler stands out.

Woods has played the World Series of Poker tournaments for years and has already notched a cash in 2017. He finished in 70th place in the Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo for a $3,116 payday.

We don't know who else has a place in Woods' team yet. What we do know is that Jason Wheeler's teammates are Tim Reilly and Nicholas Palma.

Team Crouton is Stacked

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Team Crouton, named after the dog of Jamie Kerstetter, also features Daniel Negreanu and Eric Wasserson as well as Kerstetter's boyfriend that is still in the Colossus, and Kerstetter is the one doing the work at the moment. She raised from the button for 500 and the small blind called. On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, both players checked and the {6-Clubs} turn saw a bet of 800 by the small blind and a call by Kerstetter.

On the {7-Clubs} river, both players checked and the small blind showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Kerstetter had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and the pot could have become much bigger if a blank diamond had hit on the river.

Serebryany is Ready for More

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

A three-way showdown just took place on the table of Larry Serebryany and he happened to have the best of it with a stack of 8,000 and the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. The button had 7,000 and the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} while the third player in the hand showed {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Serebryany held up and knocked out two opponents to build his stack.

He then showed his muscles at the table and joked "I am ready."

Barbero Shows a Three

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Nacho Barbero seems to enjoy his time in the Tag Team event, with a smile on his face. Barbero plays at Table 158 along with Kitty Kuo and Brian Altman. But it's the Argentinian who's at the helm at the table. He just added another chunk to his stack. He opened to 500 from an early position. Altman, directly to Barbero's left, flatted and so did his left-hand opponent.

The three players saw a flop {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Barbero continued for 400. Altman wasted no time and folded, but a raise to 1,500 followed by the third player. Barbero quickly called, and then the {Q-Spades} appeared on the turn. Both players slowed down to let the dealer turn over the {6-Spades} river for free.

Barbero asked his opponent to move his hand so that he could see how much he had left. It was 2,600 and Barbero slid forward way more than that to put his opponent to the test, but it resulted in a fold. Barbero, in return, flashed {3-Spades} while releasing his other hole card face down.

Barbero is now up to 29,000 and admitted that his wingman Nick Yunis might take over soon.

Team Schwartz Among the Big Stacks

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Team Schwartz has started well, as Ylon Schwartz doubled the stack early on and his teammates continued right where he left. Next to him is Team Wilson and they are also doing well thus far.

Catching up the action on the {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} turn, a short stack got his last 2,175 in and Brian Wilson called with the {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The opponent had {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a gutshot and the {3-Hearts} river was a blank.

A Glance at Team Glantz

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

It is quite a team that Matt Glantz has recruited for this event, as Michael Mizrachi, Robert Mizrachi and Todd Brunson are also on it. Right now it is Michael Mizrachi on the table and he has been able to run up a stack.

On a three-way turn showing {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}, the big blind bet 1,100 and Barny Boatman folded, while Mizrachi in the cutoff called. The {4-Clubs} river was checked and the big blind mucked to award the pot to Mizrachi.
