Skip Still Chipping Up

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Skip Wilson was in early position and raised to 2,200. A player in the hijack three-bet all in for roughly 13,100. Wilson called.

Wilson tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent showed {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}, and Wilson eliminated his opponent.

Rivered Nut Flush Busts a Flopped Set of Queens

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Joshua Steiner's stack was cut down in front of him with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} laid beside it. The board read {3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and Steiner's heads-up opponent was pushing a double up's worth of chips into the pot.

From the chatter around the table, it sounds like Steiner's opponent had flopped a set of queens when all the money went in.

Phil Hellmuth just had quite an orbit.

First, Hellmuth was all in with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} versus Scott Zhakim's {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. The board had already been killed, and the two got it in preflop for roughly 23,000 apiece. Zhakim got a full double-up, and Hellmuth was left with 650 chips.

Hellmuth folded the following hand, then was all-in for 500 in the big blind when this hand occurred: A player in middle position raised to 1,400. The small blind called, and Hellmuth was in for the main pot, while the other two players had built an 1,800-chip side pot. The flop was {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, and the small blind check-folded after the original raiser bet 1,700.

Hellmuth tabled {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and his opponent showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The board spiked the gutshot for Hellmuth on the turn when the {7-Clubs} hit, and the river bricked off a {6-Diamonds}. Hellmuth was still alive.

Hellmuth folded his small blind the following hand.

In the next hand, the player under the gun raised to 1,400. Hellmuth moved all in on the button for 1,725 and was called by Zhakim in the small blind and Matt Milsna in the big blind. The original raiser also called.

The flop was {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Zhakim checked. Milsna moved all in for 12,375, and the under-the-gun player went all in covering him. Zhakim folded, and the hands were tabled.

Hellmuth {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Milsna {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Under the gun {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {q-Hearts} hit the turn, and the {a-Diamonds} landed on the river, giving Hellmuth the nut flush, Milsna the king-high flush, and two pair for the player under the gun.

Hellmuth won the blinds and antes on the next hand and was close to 10,000 in chips again.

Pocket Royalty Vaults Angelov Up the Leaderboard

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

We caught the action as the cards hit their backs, but Denis Angelov had an opponent all-in and at risk holding ace-king to Angelov's pocket kings. Angelov had his opponent slightly covered and scored a near-double-up when the board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}.
