Ari Engel Eliminated by Erick Wright

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

With over 2,500 in the pot and the board reading {J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Ari Engel checked in the small blind and his lone opponent, Erick Wright, bet 1,075 in middle position. Engel moved all in for around 15,000 more and Wright made the call, putting Engel at risk.

Engel tabled {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a pair of sevens along with a gutshot straight draw and a flush draw. He was up against the {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} of Wright, who was ahead for the moment with a pair of jacks.

The {10-Spades} river could not save Engel and he was eliminated. He wished his tablemates luck and made his exit.

Maurice Hawkins Chirping Early

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Current leader in WSOP Circuit rings with 10, Maurice Hawkins is already getting his table riled up.

Just now, heads up with the board reading {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} and 325 in the pot, the big blind checked and Hawkins bet 200 under the gun. His opponent called and the turn was the {K-Spades}. His opponent checked and Hawkins bet 350. His opponent called again.

On the {4-Spades} river, the big blind checked again, and this time, Hawkins bet 600. His opponent started thinking over the decision and then Hawkins started in.

"What do you have? Ace-queen of spades? I think he has ace-queen of spades," he said with a big smile on his face.

His opponent kept thinking and then Hawkins began imitating his opponent's thought process. "What did he bet the flop with, then the turn? Does he have queen-nine?"

When his opponent folded, Hawkins yelled, "No! Don't fold! What are you doing bro?" And he collected the pot.
