Some Big Stacks, Niall Farrell Climbing Again

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Niall Farrell had a quick 150,000 early in the day and then dipped down to 60,000 before now running it up to 200,000 again here as Day 1c approaches the money bubble.

Todd Louer is likely the biggest stack in the field with 540,000, but Michael Abitbol is not too far behind him with 500,000.

Blake Stewart's First Ever Tournament

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Blake Stewart

Earlier we mentioned that Blake Stewart was celebrating his 21st birthday. He is still in Day 1c of the Giant with 41,000.

His mother, Susie, said that he would always ask if when he turned 21 if she would put him in a World Series of Poker event. She figured they would be too expensive, but when the schedule came out and she saw the $365 Giant flight on the day of Blake's birthday, she decided it was a no brainer.

Blake's tournament experience might be a little light, but it wouldn't be a big surprise to see him in other flights of the Giant should he fail to bag here in 1c.

Ravi Bedi Has Kings Verus Mimi Luu's Aces

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mimi Luu just lost a large portion of her stack after an opening raise to 20,000. Ravi Bedi shoved all in for 185,500 and Luu snap-called with queens, {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Bedi had kings, {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Bedi hit quads, which was more than enough to win the hand and double up.

Ryan Jaconetti Busts Two

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ryan Jaconetti shoved over a Mukul Pahuja all in and ended up knocking out two players. Jonathan Tamayo called all in with tens, {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and was up against Pahuja's {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}, and Jaconetti's {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Jaconetti hit a six on the turn to eliminate both players and stack almost 300,000 chips.

Katie Lindsay and Mimi Luu are at the same table as the tables rapidly break. Lindsay has 145,000 and Luu is one of the bigger stacks remaining with 280,000.

Below are some other updated counts and eliminations.

Niall Farrell just doubled up with {k-}{j-} when he hit a jack and is now sitting at 60,000.
