Room Erupts as Benjamin Reinhart Hits Quads Over Quads

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

All the chips were in preflop with Benjamin Reinhart making the decision to call.

Benjamin Reinhart: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}.

Quads over quads with Reinhart having the best of it with quad aces. His busted opponent took it well with Reinhart sat stunned in his seat.

Half of the players left in the tournament, though, erupted in excitement, dashing over as word of the hand spread and crowding round the table with their phones taking photos and videos to capture the moment.

“Only in the Giant,” one player said.

The floor restored order as the dealer swept the cards up and everyone returned to their game as they were reminded it was a turbo event and the bubble was approaching.

Orion Gallagher Shooting For the Stars; No 13th Cash For Chris Ferguson

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Orion Gallagher is another of the big stacks in the room with 340,000 attempting to creep up on Shannon Cass who is using the MyStack App to keep the world updated.

Others are not so fortunate and have been eliminated including Chris Ferguson who wasn’t able to add to his 12 cashes of the Series so far in what could turn out to be one of the stories of WSOP 2017.

Countdown To the Bubble

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

There are 420 players currently with chips in front of them from 1,581 entries and 238 places getting paid the bubble is looming on the horizon.

For now though there is a festive Friday night atmosphere with plenty of joking around and the drinks flowing as the dealers do their best to cajole the players into both behaving themselves and put their antes in.
