Vojtech Ruzicka Busts One

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player in early position moved all in for his last 10,000 in chips, and Vojtech Ruzicka moved all in for about 20,000 from the small blind.

The early-position player was at risk with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Vojtech was well ahead with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and Ruzicka remained ahead of his opponent, picking up a gut-shot straight draw as well.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}, giving Ruzicka's opponent some outs to make a smaller straight. The river was the {q-Spades} and both players made a straight, but Ruzicka held the best of it, sending his opponent to the rail.

Timoshenko Triples Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After moving to the other side of the Amazon Room, Yevgeniy Timoshenko found his lucky seat beside Tom Hall. The action was folded to Timoshenko and he piled his remaining 17,300 chips into the pot. He got calls in two different spots and when the hands were tabled Timoshenko was in a world of trouble. He showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} but was up against one player with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and another one with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

But the board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, meaning Timoshenko was able to hit a king on the turn to keep his tournament hopes alive. Said Hall to Timoshenko, "Oh Timmy, you run so good!"

Table of Death... Dead

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Table 14 started off as what could be called the "Table of Death" with three big names all sitting among each other. Antonio Esfandiari, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, and Jason Koon were all given the same table when the day began. However, with eliminations coming so quickly, Table 14 has been broken and everyone has been split up throughout the Amazon Room now.

The tournament board now reads 1,052 players remaining, but that number is dropping every minute.

Almedin Imsirovic Catches a Break on the River

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jessica Dawley raised to 2,500 from early position, and Almedin Imsirovic moved all in for his remaining 23,100 from middle position. The player on the button announced "Call," and Dawley folded.

Imsirovic was at risk with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, but was well ahead of his opponent's {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The flop came {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Imsirovic was still ahead with two kings. The turn, however, was the {q-Hearts} and Imsirovic was ready to hit the rail. The river was the miracle {k-Hearts}, however, and Imsirovic's tournament life was saved, giving him a bigger boat to double up.

Play is Paused

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With the large number of payouts, the tournament staff has paused play to ensure everyone gets paid out in the correct spots and that players do not lose any time in the level. Play will resume shortly.
