Jason Mercier Doubles in Big Pot

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha:

On a {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Jason Mercier's opponent bet enough to put him all in, and Mercier went into the tank.

"I call," he eventually announced. His opponent showed {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Clubs} for two pair, eights and kings, and Mercier won the pot with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a flush.

"A flush draw," his opponent said, shaking his head as he counted out the chips for his opponent's double-up.

Natasha Mercier Gets There on the River

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em:

Natasha Mercier raised under the gun. It folded to Greg Raymer in the big blind.

"Is that one bet behind?" he politely inquired, and Mercier confirmed. Raymer raised, and Mercier called all in.

Mercier: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Raymer: {9-Spades}{6-Spades}

"I'm amazed I have two overs!" said Raymer, as the flop came {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. The turn brought the {a-Spades} giving Raymer a flush draw and causing Mercier to get to her feet.

"Good luck, guys," she said, but no sooner than she said it, the {4-Diamonds} appeared on the river, giving her trips to double up.

"I thought she only had one out but then realized she already had the {4-Spades}," said Raymer, "She jinxed the shit out of me!"

Players are going on a 15-minute break. The clock currently says that there are 445 players. When they return, there will be two more levels of registration before it closes.

Daniel Negreanu Enters, Chips Up

Level 4 : 250/500, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em:

On a {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, Daniel Negreanu checked to his opponent, who bet 1,200. Negreanu check-raised to 3,200, and his opponent called.

The turn was the {5-Spades}, and Negreanu moved all in for around 4,000. His opponent thought for a moment before folding, flashing the {8-Hearts} towards the Canadian.

"Pick one," said Negreanu, as his opponent stood up to go to break. The player leaned across and turned over the {7-Hearts}.

"And you know the other one was better!" Negreanu said as he headed off on break.

Bruno Fitoussi Eliminated in Three-Way All In

Level 4 : 250/500, 0 ante
Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly

Pot-Limit Omaha:

On a {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop, Georgii Belianin had checked to Bruno Fitoussi, who bet 800. Jennifer Tilly called, and Belianin three-bet to 4,000. Fitoussi moved all in for 3,975. Tilly then moved all in, and Belianin called for his last 5,700.

Belianin: {6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Tilly: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Fitoussi: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Both Tilly and Fitoussi had flush draws, but Fitoussi had the Ace of Clubs plus a gutshot straight draw to stay alive. However, they were both behind to the two pair of Belianin.

Fitoussi called repeatedly for a deuce, but the turn was the {6-Hearts} and the river the {4-Hearts}, meaning he was eliminated. Belianin almost tripled up.

David Bach Reveling in Dealers Choice Bracelet

"The whole final table, I was thinking what games I would pick for each player heads-up," explained David Bach, recounting his Dealers Choice final table a few days ago. Bach took down the tournament for $119,399 and a WSOP gold bracelet, the second of his career.

"The guy I was heads-up with was the complete player though," he went on to say, referring to Kevin Iacofano, "He kept picking the games that I would have picked!

"Earlier in the tournament someone played a Badacey hand horribly, and everyone started picking Badacey!

"Maybe that's the hustle. Pick your strongest game, and play it horribly," Bach paused for a second, "I might try that some day!"
