Thomas Sends Gregg to the Rail

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Tom Thomas Rising
Tom Thomas Rising

Jeffrey Gregg raised from the cutoff and Tom Thomas defended his big blind. On the flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Thomas check-raised from 30,000 to 70,000 and Gregg moved all in for what appeared to be 250,000. Thomas quickly called and Gregg looked up from his massage to find himself in trouble.

Jeffrey Gregg: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Tom Thomas: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Gregg was drawing to two outs only to double up, and the {8-Clubs} turn and {2-Spades} river were both blanks. "I had four deuce," Asi Moshe on the button said when all was done and dusted.

Gregg left the table with a smile and the words "it has been fun, good luck guys."

Requena Chipping Up

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Sadan Turker raised to 21,000 and Raul Martinez Requena called from the button, as did Charalampos Lappas in the big blind. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to the Spaniard, who now calls London his home. Requena bet 30,000 and that shut down the action right there.

Requena has been flying under the radar but chipped up nicely as of lately.

Lappas Doubles

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Charalampos Lappas was on the button and raised to 25,000. Eddy Sabat was in the small blind and called.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Sabat check-called 28,000.

The turn was {5-Clubs} and again Sabat check-called but for 44,000 this time.

The river was the big action card when the {k-Spades} fell. Sabat checked and Lappas moved all in for 192,000. After taking several minutes to make his decision, Sabat called.

Lappas tabled {a-}{j-} and Sabat showed {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Both players made two pair but Lappas took it down.

Khoury Falls; Kent Doesn't

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mazin Khoury got his stack in with {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and failed to get there against the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} of Pablo Fernandez to bow out in 32nd place.

The next player at risk was Joseph Kent, who called the shove of Asi Moshe on the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} river for his last 86,000. Moshe briefly showed his cards but could not beat the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} of Kent.

Eddy Sabat (as seen in previous 2017 event)

Eddy Sabat was in the small blind and raised to 35,000. Joel Ettedgi was in the big blind and three-bet to 85,000. Sabat took a moment and then four-bet to 235,000. Ettedgi thought for a couple of minutes before announcing, "all in," and Sabat snap-called, quickly rolling over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Ettedgi showed {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} {k-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Sabat is the run-away chip leader at the moment.

Moshe Contender for the Lead After Busting Berger

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Seth Berger shoved his last seven big blinds from the button with an ace-five and Asi Moshe called with pocket sevens to claim the stack of Berger on a jack-high board.

Troy Sprungl was more fortunate. He shoved for 64,000 and Jonathan Abdellatif called with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Sprungl showed {K-Spades}{10-Spades} and the board came {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

"You are so lucky," Abdellatif added.

Armstrong Sends Vitantonio to the Rail

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Peter Vitantonio moved all in for 118,000 and Jamie Armstrong called from two seats over.

Peter Vitantonio: {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Jamie Armstrong: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

On top of his two live cards, Vitantonio flopped a gutshot straight draw on {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}. However, both the {3-Clubs} turn and the {5-Diamonds} river were blanks and that was it for Vitantonio in 35th place. He takes home $10,868 for his efforts.

Kent Doubles Through Thomas

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Joseph Kent was all in for his last 49,000 with the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Tom Thomas reluctantly called out of the big blind with the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Kent cemented his lead on the {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop while Thomas picked up some outs on the {K-Clubs} turn. The {Q-Clubs} river was a blank and Kent remained in contention.

Brown Busts to Khoury

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After losing a hand with {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} against the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} of Pablo Fernandez, Chad J Brown dropped down to 13 big blinds. Soon after, Mazin Khoury raised and called the shove of Brown for the following showdown.

Chad J Brown: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Mazin Khoury: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} and the nine on the river was a bad one for Brown, as his two pair were no against Khoury's straight.
