Joseph Doubles Through Rutter

Level 11 : 250/500, 0 ante

PLO-8

Johanssy Joseph raised to 1,500 from the button, the player in the small blind called, Stuart Rutter reraised to 6,000 from the big blind, Joseph reraised all in for about 6,800 total, the small blind folded, and Rutter called.

Joseph: {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Rutter: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The board came down {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Spades}, giving Joseph a set of deuces to double through Rutter.

Big-O

With about 2,200 chips already in the middle and the board reading {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Alexandr Orlov checked from the big blind, Mike Sexton checked from under the gun, and Phil Hellmuth bet 2,000 from the hijack. Yuval Bronshtein folded from the button, Orlov moved all in for about 6,000, Sexton folded, and Hellmuth quickly called.

Hellmuth: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Orlov: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Hellmuth had the lead with his set of sixes and Orlov needed to improve in order to save his stack. The {4-Spades} turn changed nothing and the {J-Spades} river gave Hellmuth a full house to scoop the pot and eliminate Orlov.

"I Don't Need Proper Commentary"

Level 11 : 250/500, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Picking up the action after the turn of a {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs} board, Jeff Lisandro checked from the small blind and Miguel Use bet from the big blind. Lisandro called, the {6-Hearts} river completed the board, and Lisandro checked. Use bet, Lisandro check-raised, Use reraised, and Lisandro called.

"Don't tell me you have five-three of hearts," said Lisandro.

"I have five-three of hearts," said Use, who showed {9-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

"Straight flush with a seven-six low," announced the dealer.

"I don't need proper commentary," said Lisandro. "I can see what he has."

Action folded around to the blinds and Danny Scott called for 1,000 from the small. Alex Luneau raised to 2,000 and Scott called.

The {5-Spades} came on the turn and Scott checked. Luneau bet 2,000 and Scott called.

The river brought the {7-Spades} and Scott checked. Luneau bet 2,000, Scott called, and Luneau quickly tabled {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} for a set of kings and sixty-two lo, which was good enough to scoop the entire pot.

PLO-8

With the board reading {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and about 9,000 in the pot, Joe Hachem bet the pot from the small blind. Nikolai Yakovenko tanked for a bit from the button before the clock was called. Eventually he raised and Hachem called all in for 15,200.

Hachem: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Yakovenko: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

They held the same low draw while Hachem's straight led Yakovenko's top pair and flush draw for the high. The river was the {5-Clubs}, giving both players the same low and Hachem three quarters of the pot.
