Moreschi Doubles Through Zack

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante

Big-O

Following the turn of a {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} board, Dan Zack set Stephen Moreschi all in and, after a little while in the tank, Moreschi called all in for about 20,000.

Zack: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}
Moreschi: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"Three-minute tank with the nuts and a redraw to the nuts?" asked a player at the table.

The river was the {2-Hearts}, giving Zack a meaningless set to lock up the pot for Moreschi.

John Racener Doubles

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante
John Racener
John Racener

Big-O

With about 8,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, the player in the small blind bet 2,500, Alan Sternberg raised to 12,500 from middle position, and John Racener moved all in from the button for about 27,000. The small blind folded, Sternberg called to put Racener at risk, and the two players tabled their hands.

Sternberg: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Racener: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Both players had the nut low draw, but Sternberg had the lead for the high half with his pair of kings and Racener had a wheel wrap. The {A-Clubs} on the turn made Racener's wheel and put him firmly in the lead, the {9-Spades} river changed nothing, and Racener scooped the pot to double up.

PLO-8

Following a flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Josh Beckley was all in for about 13,000 with {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Mike Matusow had him covered and held {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

The {9-Clubs} turn and {J-Clubs} river completed the board, no help to Beckley, giving Matusow the pot with a pair of fives.

Force Continues to Chip Up

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Leif Force raised from the hijack and Hernan Salazar called from the small blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Salazar check-called a bet from Force to see the {K-Diamonds} turn. Salazar check-called another bet from Force, the {J-Diamonds} river completed the board, Salazar checked again, and Force bet for a third time.

"Good river," said Force.

Salazar showed {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and folded.

"Holy sh....smokes!" said Force, as he showed the {A-Diamonds} and collected the pot.

Leif Force Gets Three Quarters

PLO-8

With a substantial pile of chips already in the middle and the completed board reading {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, the big blind and Leif Force were heads up and the big blind checked. Force bet 17,000 from the cutoff and the big blind called.

Force tabled {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and trip sevens and his opponent flipped over {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for the bare nut low, so Force took three-quarters of the pot to put his stack over the 100,000-chip mark.

Alex Luneau and Rebecca Thompson Chop

Level 12 : 300/600, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Rebecca Thompson called 1,200 from the cutoff, the button called, and Alex Luneau raised to 2,400 from the small blind. Thompson called and the button called as well.

The three players saw a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Luneau bet 1,200. Thompson called and the button folded.

The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and Luneau bet 2,400. Thompson raised to 4,800 and Luneau called.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the river and Luneau checked. Thompson bet 2,400, Luneau called, and both players tabled their hands.

Luneau showed {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a wheel and Thompson flipped over {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the same hand, so they split the pot.
