Gregorich Eliminated by O'Grady

Level 15 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Mark Gregorich
Mark Gregorich

Mark Gregorich was all in preflop and at risk against Michael O'Grady. Gregorich said, "I have a good hand... but not that good," upon seeing O'Grady's holdings.

Gregorich: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
O'Grady: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Gregorich failed to improve and was eliminated.

Mark Gregorich "Too Tough" Against JC Tran

Level 15 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

JC Tran raised from early position, and Mark Gregorich defended the big blind.

The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Gregorich check-called a Tran bet. The action repeated when the {9-Spades} hit the turn. Both players checked the {4-Spades} on the river, and Tran won the hand with {8-}{8-} over the {6-}{6-} of Gregorich.

After the hand, Tran said he would have "kept firing" against anyone else on the river, but not against Gregorich — he's "too tough."

The Battle of (A)Arons

Level 15 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Aron Dermer raised from the small blind and Aaron Sacks defended from the big blind.

On the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Dermer led out, Sacks raised and was called.

Dermer then check-called both the {6-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river.

Sacks turned over {J-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights with a jack kicker but Dermer showed {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the same pair with a higher kicker and took down the pot.

In the next hand, Dermer raised on the button, Sacks three-bet from the small blind, and Dermer called.

Sacks led out on every street of the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Hearts} board and Dermer followed all the way.

Sacks flipped up {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for a pair of aces and won the hand.

Chan Rivers Hellmuth

Level 15 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Phil Hellmuth raised from the hijack and Terrence Chan defended from the big blind.

On the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Chan checked, Hellmuth bet, and Chan called.

Chan check-called Hellmuth's bet again on the {7-Hearts} turn.

On the {Q-Clubs} river, Chan check-raised this time and Hellmuth called.

Chan turned over {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a straight and the nuts and Hellmuth showed {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for a set of jacks.

Upon seeing Chan's hand, Hellmuth began berating Chan who calmly called the floorman and asked for Hellmuth to be given a warning. The floorman told Hellmuth not to direct any obscenities at Chan and play carried forward as Hellmuth continued to rant to himself.

The Big 3

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Michael O'Grady
Michael O'Grady

Daniel Negreanu, JC Tran, and Michael O'Grady are the three big stacks in the field and all are seated at the same table.

Tran was over 600,000 briefly, but then he played a hand against O'Grady.

Tran raised the cutoff and, when Ian Johns went to fold, the {10-Clubs}{4-Spades} were accidentally exposed. The dealer announced the dead cards.

"What were they," O'Grady asked.

"Why, you need those?" asked Tran.

"Yeah, I do actually," responded O'Grady as he called. "I'm just a degenerate."

The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and O'Grady checked. Tran bet and O'Grady called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and O'Grady checked again. Tran ben and O'Grady raised. Tran folded.
