Alexander Freund Calls With a Four-Card Straight Flush

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

The action was folded around to the cutoff, who raised to 6,000. The small blind called, and Alexander Freund re-raised to 16,000 from the big blind. The initial raiser moved all in for around 30,000, and Freund called with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. He was up against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} of his opponent.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to give both players some hope. Freund flopped a straight-flush draw, while his opponent made a set of kings. The turn was the {3-Clubs}, giving Freund the lead with a straight. The river landed the {6-Hearts} and didn't change anything, so Freund scooped the pot and eliminated his opponent.

Borovay Holds With Aces

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
David Williams
David Williams

As recounted by a player at the table, the following hand took place.

Jeff Lisandro was on the button and raised to 4,400. David Williams was in the small blind and called. Brian Borovay potted in the big blind to 18,000 and both called.

The flop was {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Williams led all in for roughly 20,000. Borovay moved all in for roughly 30,000 and Lisandro folded.

Borovay showed {a-}{a-}{9-}{3-}
Williams tabled {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-}{q-}

The turn was a non spade king and the river was a non spade six giving Borovay two pair with aces and sixes and Williams a smaller two pair thus eliminating Williams and vaulting Borovay into the 6-figure chip club.

Chun Law Gets the River

Chun Law
Chun Law

Chun Law was in the hijack and opened the action to 6,000. Pablo Bai was on the button and three-bet to 21,000, Law called.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Law led for 40,000. Bai deliberated for a couple minutes and then moved all in for what appeared to be 38,500.

Chun Law: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Pablo Bai: {a-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Law had the nut-flush draw with straight outs and some backdoors, while Bai was in the lead with aces and the same gutshot draw.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} improving Bai to two pair, but the river was the {q-Clubs} giving Law the ace-high flush and a large pot at this stage of the tournament as Bai hits the rail.

Schoneck Scores a Double KO

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Three players limped in the pot and the small blind raised to 11,500. Fabian Schoneck called in the big blind and a player in early position reraised all in for 18,500. The action was folded back to the small blind who called all in for 12,100. Schoneck called to close the action and the hands were tabled.

Fabian Schoneck: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Small blind: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Early position player: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Schoneck had flopped a set; however, one of his opponents had a flush draw. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river brought the {7-Spades}. Schoneck made a full house on the river and eliminated both opponents.
