Kassela Keeps on Building

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Frank Kassela
Frank Kassela

With the pot having around 80,000 in the middle, the board read {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Frank Kassela was heads up with an opponent. The action was checked to Kassela who bet 60,000. His opponent was in the tank for a couple minutes before sticking in his chips. Kassela tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} while his opponent showed {k-}{j-} before tossing it to the muck.

Kassela left his opponent with 3,500 in chips, barely enough for one big blind. "It was a value bet. I didn't want to bust you," Kassela said to his opponent.

Timoshenko Continues to Build

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Yevgeniy Timoshenko (as seen in previous event)
Yevgeniy Timoshenko (as seen in previous event)

A player in the cutoff seat raised to 6,000. Yevgeniy Timoshenko was on the button and three-bet to 14,000. His opponent took a minute and called.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the opponent in the cutoff check-folded after Timoshenko fired out a bet of 9,000. Timoshenko has seen a lot of fluctuation to his stack throughout the day but over the last three or four blind levels he has been steadily climbing.

"He Always Has It"

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Rex Clinkscales
Rex Clinkscales

A player in late position open-raised and Rex Clinkscales piled in his remaining 75,000 from the button. The original raiser called.

Clinkscales: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Clinkscales spiked his three-outer to get a huge double-up. As he was raking in the pot, he said to his opponent, "You always have it, hey," to which his opponent just shrugged his shoulders.

John Racener Ousted

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

John Racener was in early position and pushed all in for 16,200 and was called by the small blind. Pete Chen was in the big blind and moved all in over the top for around 120,000. The small blind folded and Chen tabled {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Racener showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and would need some help to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Spades} and Racener was eliminated while Chen stacked chips over 150,000 now.

Neel Murthy With Back-to-Back Wins

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In the first of two hands, Neel Murthy was in late position and raised to 5,000. Bertrand Grospellier was on the button and called.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to the turn which was the {2-Clubs}. Murthy led for 6,500 and Grospellier called. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Murthy tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} to take it down as Grospellier mucked his hand. This got Murthy up to 280,000.

In the following hand, Murthy was in middle position and raised to 5,000. The hijack and big blind both called.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and it was checked around to the turn which was the {8-Spades}. The big blind led for 10,500 and Murthy snap-raised to 25,000. The player in the hijack then reraised to 41,500. The big blind moved all in for his remaining 32,000 roughly and Murthy moved all in, having both players covered. The hijack thought for a minute before folding his hand.

Murthy: {7-Spades}{4-Spades}
Big blind: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The river was the {2-Spades}, locking up the hand for Murthy who seems unstoppable at the moment. He appears to be the chip leader but chips are moving around furiously.
