Ismael Bojang Eliminated by Abe Mosseri

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Ismael Bojang
Ismael Bojang

Mosseri: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Bojang: {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Ismael Bojang was the bring-in, Abe Mosseri completed, and Bojang called. Mosseri bet on fourth street, Bojang raised all in for 10,000, and Mosseri called.

Here were their hands prior to seventh street:

Mosseri: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}
Bojang: {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} / {X-}

Neither had much, although Mosseri caught the {K-Spades} to make a pair of kings. Bojang needed a seven to scoop, or an ace, three, or four for a chop, but he turned over an unhelpful {10-Clubs} to end his tournament.

Luneau Split By Ashby and Chiovari

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Ashby: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} / {x-}
Luneau: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {x-}
Chiovari: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}

On seventh street, there was a pile of about 120,000 chips in the middle already.

Richard Ashby had the betting lead and checked over to Alex Luneau, who checked to Richard Chiovari. Chiovari checked, as well.

"Just a low," Chiovari said, showing {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a seven-six perfect.

Ashby showed {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for a flush. Luneau only had {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a pair of fours and a worse seven-six low, so Ashby and Chiovari split up the pot.

Daniel Negreanu Doubles Through Jonathan Duhamel

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Jonathan Duhamel was the bring-in, Daniel Negreanu completed, Charles Barker called, Duhamel raised, Negreanu reraised, Barker folded, Duhamel reraised, and Negreanu called all in.

Negreanu: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs} / {X-}
Barker: {X-}{X-} / {7-Spades} - fold
Duhamel: {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {X-}

Duhamel had aces and fives by seventh street, while Negreanu was freerolling with aces and a lock on the low. He peeled his seventh street and revealed the {8-Diamonds}, giving him aces and eights to double up.

Negreanu won the following hand against Duhamel, as well.

Glaser Puts Another Notch in His Belt, Eliminates Brian Twete

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Glaser: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} / {x-}
Twete: {x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts} / {x-}

We caught up to the action on fifth street. Glaser checked over to Twete and he bet. Glaser called, bringing the two to sixth street. On sixth, Glaser picked up the betting lead. Glaser bet and Twete moved all in. Glasser quickly called.

Twete had {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} in the hole but Glaser had made two pairs on sixth with his {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} in the hole.

"Do you want to sweat first," Glaser asked, since Twete was behind.

Twete obliged, then turned up the {5-Hearts}, not improving him. Glaser's last card was the {7-Spades}, but it didn't matter. His two pairs were good enough and he scooped the pot.

Twete stood up from the table and threw his hands behind his head.

"F$#@," he said, sighing.

Sammartino: {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} / {X-}

Hellmuth caught a {2-Spades} on seventh to make queens up while Sammartino needed to catch a five, six, or ten to survive. He ripped over the {A-Clubs} and was eliminated.

Lee: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {x-}
Sammartino: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {x-}

Dario Sammartino completed and Mack Lee called, having already brought in.

Lee picked up the betting lead and led out and Sammartino called. Sammartino continued to call bets on fifth and sixth street.

On seventh, Lee checked his cards.

"I forgot what I have," Lee said. "It's been a long time."

Eventually, he decided to bet. Sammartino frustratedly picked up his three down cards and shuffled them around in his hands. He thought for about a minute before finally calling.

Lee showed {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} for a pair of fives and an eight low, and that was good enough to take down the pot. Sammartino was cut down to just 10,000.

Glaser: {x-}{x-} / {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {x-}
Leah: {x-}{x-} / {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} / {x-}

We caught up to Benny Glaser and Mike Leah involved in a hand already on seventh street. Glaser bet and Leah called quicky.

"Straight," Glaser said. "Seven low."

Glaser showed {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-}. Leah showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for three pairs, but it was no good. That would give Glaser the pot and allow him to chip up. Leah was left with 9,500 and was eliminated just one hand later.
