Geeng Rivers Lodden

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Gavin Polone raised to 13,000, and Daniel Geeng three-bet to 45,000 from the small blind. Johnny Lodden raised the pot, and Palone folded. Geeng gave it plenty of consideration and called all in for 114,500.

Daniel Geeng: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Johnny Lodden: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, and Geeng got there on the river to improve to a full house. He lost a three-way pot with chip leader Yan Shing Tsang and Lodden soon after to let Lodden recover some of the chips from their clash.

Jarred Graham Gets a Fold from Loren Klein

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Loren Klein
Loren Klein

With about 25,000 chips already in the pot and the board reading {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, recent bracelet winner Loren Klein checked from the big blind, and Jarred Graham bet 12,500 from the cutoff. Klein called.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs}, and Klein check-called a bet of 17,500 from Graham.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river, and Klein checked. Graham bet again, 35,000 this time, sending Klein into the tank. Eventually, a player at the table called the clock on Klein, and shortly after the seconds officially began to tick down, Klein tossed his cards into the muck. Graham took the pot.

Duong's Day Done By Quads

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Jack Duong
Jack Duong

James Egerer raised and picked up a call from Benjamin Eilers one seat over. On the {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, both players checked. Egerer bet the {3-Spades} turn for 28,000, and Eilers called before the {6-Clubs} river was checked by Egerer. Eilers bet 105,000 and forced a fold.

Soon after, a limped pot emerged with Eilers and Jack Duong in action. They got into a raising war on a {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, and Duong ended up as the player at risk.

Jack Duong: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Benjamin Eilers: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Duong had one out with the case nine in the deck, but even that miracle chance was gone on the {A-Clubs} turn, improving Eilers to quad aces. The meaningless {8-Spades} on the river was just a formality, and Duong headed to the rail.

"These limped pots are dangerous," Scott Davies added.

Chris Lee Takes from Daniel Geeng

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Daniel Geeng opened to 15,000 from the cutoff, Johnny Lodden called from the button, and Chris Lee called from the big blind.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and all three players checked. The turn brought the {2-Clubs}, and Lee bet 36,000. Geeng called, and Lodden folded. The {8-Clubs} fell on the river, and Lee checked. Geeng bet 52,000, and Lee quickly called.

Geeng started to table his hand and showed {8-}{7-}, but Lee rolled over {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for two pair, and Geeng sent his other two hole cards into the muck.

The Chips are Flying

Ben Lamb chips up before dinner
Ben Lamb chips up before dinner

There are just 72 players remaining, and Jason Beckman, Felipe Ramos, and Frederick Andersson joined the rail over the last few minutes.

Ramos had lost the vast majority of his stack and didn't get there with {Q-}{J-}{10-}{2-} against the {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} of Mike Gorodinsky.

Beckman was all in and at risk with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and Christopher Frank, in the big blind, flopped a straight draw with {10-}{9-}{8-}{7-} double-suited. Frank got there on the turn of the {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board.

Last but not least, Andersson raised to 12,000 from early position and called a three-bet from Ben Lamb, on the button. On the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Andersson got his remaining 130,000 in, and Lamb put him at risk to create the following showdown:

Fredrick Andersson: {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Ben Lamb: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The {3-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river were both blanks, and Andersson was eliminated.

Drinan Busts to Gorodinsky

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Zeik Tuit and Connor Drinan have been eliminated.

Ben Lamb raised to 16,000 from the cutoff, and Mike Gorodinsky called on the button, Connor Drinan called from the big blind with some 75,000 behind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Drinan took a long time before betting. Lamb let it go, and Gorodinsky raised to put Drinan all in.

Drinan called with {K-}{J-}{10-}{2-} for kings and deuces, and Gorodinsky had the {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The {Q-Clubs} turn was a scary card for Gorodinsky, as Drinan picked up a lot of outs to improve. Instead, the {5-Hearts} river gave Gorodinsky kings and fives, and Drinan quickly headed out of the Brasilia Room.

Clements With a Big Win

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Scott Clements
Scott Clements

With about 150,000 in the pot and the board reading {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Alex Manzano was all in under the gun for roughly 140,000. Scott Clements was also all in from late position, having Manzano covered. Two other players folded on the flop, leaving the action heads-up.

Scott Clements: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Alex Manzano: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Clements was behind but had the nut flush draw and some straight outs to go along with two-pair outs. Manzano was open-ended on the top side and leading with his aces. The turn was the {q-Hearts}, not changing anything, but the {3-Clubs} on the river gave Clements two pair and a huge pot to add to his stack, while simultaneously knocking out one of Chile's best poker players.
