O'Dea Chips Up

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #1:

On the {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} turn, Chris Lee checked in the big blind and Tommy Le bet 175,000 from the cutoff, which Lee called. The {8-Diamonds} river was checked through and Lee showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the nut flush.

Hand #2:

In a three-way limped pot, the flop fell {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Lee bet 60,000 from the small blind. Hani Mio called in the big blind, as did Eoghan O'Dea on the button. The {7-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and both Lee and Mio checked. O'Dea bet 225,000 and picked up one caller in Lee before the latter check-folded the {4-Spades} river to a bet worth 425,000.

Jason DeWitt Doubles Through Vivian Saliba

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Jason DeWitt
Jason DeWitt

Vivian Saliba checked from the big blind on a flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to Jason DeWitt on the button and he bet 100,000. Saliba check-raised to 500,000, DeWitt moved all in, and Saliba called to put DeWitt at risk.

Saliba: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}
DeWitt: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Saliba had a big lead with top set of nines, but the {J-Hearts} on the turn gave DeWitt a set of jacks and leave Saliba in terrible shape. The {5-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and DeWitt took the pot to double up.

Michail Karapanos Triples

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Michail Karapanos
Michail Karapanos

Michail Karapanos had 150,000 chips to begin the hand and raised to 140,000 from under the gun. Scott Clements called from the cutoff and Vivian Saliba called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Saliba checked. Karapanos put his last 10,000 in the middle and both players called.

The turn brought the {3-Spades}, Saliba checked to Clements in the side pot, and he checked behind.

The {4-Clubs} fell on the river and Saliba and Clements both checked again.

Karapanos tabled {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for jacks full and scooped the pot to triple up.

Altshuller Doubles Through Kyriakides

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Aleksei Altshuller
Aleksei Altshuller

Aleksei Altshuller raised to 90,000 and folded to the three-bet of Tommy Le. One hand later, Altshuller was in the big blind and Miltiadis Kyriakides raised to 80,000. Altshuller three-bet to 260,000 in the big blind and Kyriakides called.

After the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, Altshuller moved all in and Kyriakides was struck. "How much is it?" Kyriakides asked, and the shove was for 180,000. Kyriakides reluctantly called and the cards in the showdown were as follows.

Altshuller: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Kyriakides: {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Neither the {4-Clubs} turn nor the {2-Diamonds} river improved Kyriakides and he dropped to just under a million in chips.

Scott Clements
Scott Clements

Michail Karapanos called from the small blind, Scott Clements raised to 125,000 from the big blind, and Karapanos called.

The flop came {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Karapanos check-called a bet of 90,000 from Clements.

The {2-Hearts} fell on the river and Karapanos checked. Clements bet 200,000, sending Karapanos into the tank for several minutes until the clock was called. Ultimately, Karapanos called and Clements tabled {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a wheel, so he took the pot to leave Karapanos short-stacked.

Tommy Le Takes a Big Chunk from Aleksei Altshuller

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Tommy Le
Tommy Le

Aleksei Altshuller bet 100,000 from the cutoff on a flop of {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Tommy Le called from the cutoff.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Altshuller checked. Le bet 350,000 and Altshuller called.

The {J-Hearts} fell on the river and Altshuller checked. Le bet again, 550,000 this time, sending Atshuller into the tank. Eventually, he called, and Le quickly tabled {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for tens full of fours. Altshuller mucked and Le took the pot and most of Altshuller's stack.

Howard Millian Eliminated in 12th Place ($47,923)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Howard Millian
Howard Millian

A battle of the blinds saw the raise of Howard Millian, the reraise of Vivian Saliba in the big blind, and the all-in call from Millian for what appeared to be 350,000. Saliba had that covered and turned over the dominating hand.

Millian: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Saliba: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Saliba had previously flopped a full house when being at ris, and added one more to the collection with the flop of {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Millian was officially drawing dead with the {8-Hearts} turn, making the {Q-Hearts} river a formality. Millian takes home $47,923 and the field has been reduced to the last 11 already in the fifth level of the day.

Le Takes from Mio

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hani Mio called from the hijack, Tommy Le raised to 150,000 from the button, and Mio called.

The flop came {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Mio checked. Le bet 125,000 and Mio called.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Mio bet 325,000. Le called.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Mio checked. Le bet 500,000, Mio called, and Le tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for aces full of queens. Mio flipped over {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for queens full of tens, and Le took the pot with the bigger boat.
