Oren Cohen Loses Another Flip

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

All in preflop, Oren Cohen had pocket nines and was looking to bust Arash Ghaneian, who had ace-ten. By the river, though, Ghaneian had the best of it, and another portion of Cohen’s stack slid over to a rival.

Ghaneian shrugged his shoulders and stacked chips while Cohen was left gritting his teeth and counting two recent losses.

John Phan Scoops Big Pot to Bust Jaskirat Bindra

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jaskirat Bindra opened the action, and John Phan called in the big blind.

The flop was {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and a series of back-and-forth raises saw Bindra shove and Phan call.

Bindra showed {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair and a flush draw, and Phan showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for to pair.

The turn {a-Clubs} and the river the {q-Clubs} missed Bindra, and his tournament was done.

All Down To Chance

Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth moved all in, and Ricardo Hernandez re-shoved. From the big blind, Rocco Palumbo moved all in, too, covering them both.

Chance Kornuth: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Ricardo Hernandez: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Rocco Palumbo: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Kornuth binked the river to drag a huge pot.

Martin Kabrhel had something to say from across the table: “Well played, sir. I love the way you played that. Especially on the river.”

Kornuth laughed it off and stacked the chips.

Taylor Paur Stepping On the Gas

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Arman Zolnoorian opened the action for 13,000, and Taylor Paur three-bet to 32,500 from the small blind. Zolnoorian called.

Paur ended up getting a good amount of value with his {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} when he flopped and then turned and ace. A bet on the river had Zolnoorian deep in the tank, but he eventually paid to see Paur’s hand.
