Jens Lakemeier Tanks His Way to Half the Pot

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 1,300 ante

Big O

Jerry Wong raised to 9,000, and Jens Lakemeier defended his big blind.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Lakemeier check-called a bet of 10,000 from Wong. The river was the {8-Diamonds}, and Lakemeier bet 33,000. Wong then raised to 110,000. Lakemeier went deep into the tank, muttering something about "eight-ten-three-ace."

"Why did you make it so small?" asked Lakemeier. "You want me to call?"

Eventually, a combination of Ismael Bojang and Andrew Kelsall called the clock. With less than five seconds remaining, Lakemeier called.

Wong: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Lakemeier: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}

Wong indeed had ace-three for his low but only a jack-high straight. Lakemeier had that beat with a full house, and the pair both pulled back their respective bets.
