Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Razz

Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{2-}{J-}{6-}
Deeb: {x-}{x-} / {A-}{5-}{Q-}{Q-} — Folded

Shaun Deeb completed and Matusow called. On fourth street Matusow bet.

"I'm gonna bet just in case you paired your five," Matusow said. Deeb called. "That's a good sign.

Both players checked on fifth street, then Matusow bet on sixth. Deeb looked at his hole cards, then folded.

"I'm folding a draw."

"That's because you're a good player Shaun," Matusow said. "You're never gonna double me up. Put me at one of those idiot tables."

"Which one is the idiot table?" Deeb asked.

"You know, that one over there," Matusow said as he pointed in a bunch of different directions.

Mike Wattel Eliminated by Paul Volpe to Put the Field on the Money Bubble

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Mike Wattel
Mike Wattel

Razz

Wattel: {X-}{X-} / {A-}{8-}{4-}
Volpe: {X-}{X-} / {J-}{7-}{7-}
Negreanu: {X-}{X-} / {K-} - fold

Daniel Negreanu was the bring-in and Mike Wattel completed (every other player at the table had a face card showing). Paul Volpe called and Negreanu folded.

Wattel bet on fourth, Volpe called, Wattel bet on fifth, and Volpe went into the tank.

"You could have any two cards," said Volpe, before he raised. Wattel called all in.

Wattel: {Q-}{9-} / {A-}{8-}{4-}
Volpe: {3-}{2-} / {J-}{7-}{7-}

Volpe trailed, but took the lead with a {4-} on sixth while Wattel paired his {A-}. Volpe turned over an {8-} on seventh to make an eight-seven, leaving Wattel drawing dead and rendering his {9-} on seventh street moot.

Shakerchi Doubles Though Wattel

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Talal Shakerchi raised from the cutoff, Mike Wattel three-bet from the button, and Shakerchi called.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Shakerchi check-called a bet. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Shakerchi led out. Wattel called, the {5-Clubs} river completed the board, and Shakerchi bet his remaining 29,000. Wattel called.

Shakerchi showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} for nines and threes, a peeved Wattel threw down {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a defeated pair of queens, and Shakerchi doubled up.
