Galfond Doubles Through Obst

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Phil Galfond got the majority of his money in preflop from the button against big blind James Obst, and the remainder went in on the {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop.

Galfond: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Obst: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Galfond had flopped tens, and the {8-Hearts}, {a-Clubs} runout left him with aces and tens and a live deuce for low. Obst couldn't beat either of those and sent over a double.

Giant Razz Pot Goes to Sion

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Razz

Sion: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{7-}{10-}{Q-} / {x-}
Obst: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{9-}{5-}{8-} / {x-}
Abdalla: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{3-}{4-}{K-} / {x-}

Jake Abdalla opened the pot with a raise before James Obst made it two bets. Elior Sion made it three bets and both Obst and Abdalla called.

On fourth street Abdalla and Obst checked to Sion who bet and both players call. Abdalla then led on fifth street and both players called.

Obst took his turn leading on sixth street and both Abdalla and Sion called. On seventh street, Obst checked. Sion bet. Abdalla folded. Obst dropped into the tank and after thinking for a bit, he called.

Sion showed {a-}{2-}{5-} and that earned a muck from Obst, so Sion took down the big pot.
