Gilani Takes from Nichan

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Zahir Gilani raised to 38,000 in middle position and Khorchidian Nichan defended his big blind. They both checked the {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, and the turn was the {10-Diamonds}. Nichan bet 43,000 and Gilani called.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Nichan bet out 106,000. After several seconds, Gilani raised to 266,000 and Nichan went into the tank. He counted out chips and then asked Nichan what he had. He folded and said, "Nice bluff," and asked Gilani why he didn't show it. Gilani smiled and stacked the chips.

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Pot-Limit Omaha

Esther Taylor raised to 35,000 under the gun and Connor Drinan potted it in the small blind for 121,000. Taylor repotted and Drinan called all in for around 320,000.

Taylor: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Drinan: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Both players had aces with one suit. The {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop gave Taylor a flush draw, which she hit on the {K-Hearts} turn. The {J-Diamonds} river couldn't save Drinan and he was eliminated.

Drinan takes home $15,749 for his 12th-place finish.
