Kiriopoulos Wins a Big One for the Chip Lead

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

There was a raise to 625 from under the gun, and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos called from the button, along with the big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and the big blind checked. The under-the-gun player bet 1,025, and Kiriopoulos called. The big blind also called, and the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn. The big blind checked again, and the under-the-gun player shoved all in for around 6,000. Kiriopoulos eyed up the stacks and thought for a couple moments before moving all in himself for over 15,000. The big blind quickly called for his remaining 13,500 chips, and the cards were tabled.

Kiriopoulos was out in front with {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, the big blind tabled {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and the under-the-gun player showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Kiriopoulos knocked out both opponents and scooped a huge pot to move among the early chip leaders.

Andrew Kelsall Eliminated After Hands With Damjan Radanov and Kory Swekla

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Andrew Kelsall lost almost all of his chips to Damjan Radanov when Radanov made a straight with {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on the {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} board.

On the next hand, Kelsall went all in for his remaining 700 chips, and after the flop came {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Kory Swekla bet the remaining players out of the pot.

"I flopped a full house," Swekla said, showing {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Kelsall packed up his things and headed to the rail.

Esther Taylor Climbs the Leaderboard

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

There was a raise to 1,100 from the player under the gun, and the button called, along with Esther Taylor in the small blind and the big blind.

The flop came {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Taylor led out for 2,200. The under-the-gun player called, along with the button. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Taylor made a pot-sized bet of 11,000. Her first opponent thought for a couple minutes before calling for his remaining 9,600 chips, and the button quickly folded.

Taylor tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and her opponent showed {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The river landed the {7-Clubs}, and Taylor thought she lost the pot to her opponent's straight. After re-evaluating the cards, though, everyone realized there was no straight for her opponent. Taylor won the pot with two pair and now has a big stack of chips to work with.
