Delvecchio Busts DiCarlo On the Bubble

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Michael Delvecchio
Michael Delvecchio

During the first round of hand-for-hand on the bubble, Chance Kornuth raised to 5,700 from under the gun and Michael Delvecchio three-bet to 17,100 from middle position, Salvatore DiCarlo four-bet to 43,000 from the big blind, and Kornuth folded.

Delvecchio five-bet shoved for 180,000 and DiCarlo called all in for effectively 133,900. Just like that, a 280,000 pot was created on the bubble.

The hands remained closed until all hands on the other tables were dealt. No other players were all in, and DiCarlo was at risk.

DiCarlo: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Delvecchio: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

DiCarlo was in prime shape to double up and just needed to dodge the tens. The {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} on the flop was safe for the Las Vegas resident, but the dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades} to change everything.

DiCarlo needed one of the remaining kings, but the river was the {6-Spades}. He was the last one to leave this tournament empty-handed. All other players are guaranteed at least $4,496.
