Delvecchio Busts DiCarlo On the Bubble

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Michael Delvecchio
Michael Delvecchio

During the first round of hand-for-hand on the bubble, Chance Kornuth raised to 5,700 from under the gun and Michael Delvecchio three-bet to 17,100 from middle position, Salvatore DiCarlo four-bet to 43,000 from the big blind, and Kornuth folded.

Delvecchio five-bet shoved for 180,000 and DiCarlo called all in for effectively 133,900. Just like that, a 280,000 pot was created on the bubble.

The hands remained closed until all hands on the other tables were dealt. No other players were all in, and DiCarlo was at risk.

DiCarlo: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Delvecchio: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

DiCarlo was in prime shape to double up and just needed to dodge the tens. The {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} on the flop was safe for the Las Vegas resident, but the dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades} to change everything.

DiCarlo needed one of the remaining kings, but the river was the {6-Spades}. He was the last one to leave this tournament empty-handed. All other players are guaranteed at least $4,496.

Sabat Seventh Cash of the Summer

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Eddy Sabat
Eddy Sabat

Eddy Sabat was on the button and moved all in for roughly 18,000. A player in the blinds called.

Opponent: {j-}{10-Clubs}
Sabat: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop was {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Sabat was firmly in control. The turn was the {a-Clubs}, giving Sabat's opponent a straight draw and, on the river, the straight hit when the {k-Spades} peeled off. Sabat has now cashed for his seventh time at this WSOP and is in fine form heading into the upcoming Main Event.

Antonio Storno Left with Fumes

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Antonio Storno opened to 7,000 in middle position. Sebastian Saffari, on the button, moved all in for a total of 62,000. Action folded back to Storno who made the call.

Storno: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Saffari: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Saffari hit a pretty favorable flop of {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. The {7-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river completed the board and Storno was left with 1,900.

Gerard Doubles Through Autar

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With the bubble gone, short-stacked players are happy to get it in again. One of them was Edwin Gerard, who scored a double-up through Nikhil Autar.

Dylan Wilkerson opened to 5,000 under the gun, another player called, and Gerard called. Autar three-bet to 19,000 from the blinds, Wilkerson and the other player folded, Gerard shoved for 37,000 and Autar called.

Gerard: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}
Autar: {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Gerard hit a ten to double.

Valentin Vornicu Hits the Rail

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Valentin Vornicu
Valentin Vornicu

Valentin Vornicu was under the gun and raised to 7,000. Florentino Coalla was in middle position and called.

The flop was {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Vornicu led for 8,500. Coalla raised to 17,000 and Vornicu moved all in for roughly 49,000. Coalla called.

Florentino Coalla: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Valentin Vornicu: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Coalla was well ahead but still had to fade some outs. The turn was the {k-Clubs} and the river was the {2-Spades} not improving Vornicu's hand and getting a fist pump reaction out of Coalla.

Jozonis Takes From Negreanu; Little Busts

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Daniel Negreanu raised to 7,000 from the cutoff, and Tomos Jozonis called on the button. Negreanu check-called 9,000 on the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} flop. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds} on the turn, and Negreanu check-called 12,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river.

Jozonis showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, and Negreanu tapped the table and mucked.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Little lost his last chips at the next table over. Little was all in with {A-}{Q-} against Joseph Drory with {K-}{K-}. The board came up nothing but low cards, eliminating Little.
