Mike Liang Takes From Jerry Yang

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

With about 4,500 in the pot on a board reading {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Mike Liang bet 2,300 from under the gun, and Jerry Yang called from the cutoff. The player on the button raised to 7,000, and Liang quickly called. Yang thought for about a minute before calling, as well.

The river was the {8-Clubs}. All three players checked, and Liang tabled {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two pair. Both Yang and the button mucked, sending the pot to Liang.

Liang has a healthy stack now, while Yang has lost more than half of the starting stack since the beginning of his day.

Eldridge Still Putting the Pressure On

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

With about 23,000 already in the pot, the player in the big blind bet 13,000 on a {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} board. David Eldridge, in middle position, announced an all-in wager. That was enough to put his lone opponent at risk for what looked to be about 35,000 more. That player thought for about a minute, stacked all of his chips into one tower, but then decided to fold.

A Small Loss for Jared Griener

Jared Griener

Dave Swanson raised to 1,000 from under the gun, the player on the button called, Jared Griener called from the small blind, and the big blind called, as well.

The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}, and all four players checked. The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, and Griener bet 2,100. The big blind folded, as did Swanson, and the button called. The {A-Spades} fell on the river, and Griener checked.

The button checked behind and tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, having paired his ace on the river, and Griener mucked.

"You're All in Trouble!"

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and that spurred a flurry of action between three players. There was around 15,000 in the pot, and the action was checked to Nick Schwarmann, who bet 11,000 from the cutoff. The small blind raised all in for 44,400, and the third player stuck his remaining 11,300 into the pot, as well.

Schwarmann was left with a decision, and he started to speak what he was thinking: "There are some hands you could have that I beat. But, there are also some that I could be drawing to only a couple outs." Schwarmann called, and the latter part of his sentence was true.

The small blind tabled {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Schwarmann held {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The third opponent showed {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Schwarmann needed to catch an ace, and in a blink of the eye, the dealer flipped the {a-Spades} on the turn. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board, and Schwarmann scooped the entire pot, eliminating both opponents.

"If I start sucking out, you're all in trouble!" Schwarmann announced to the table as he stacked the chips from the pot.
