With about 5,200 chips already in the middle on a flop of {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Chris Moneymaker checked from the cutoff, and the button bet 1,200. Moneymaker check-raised to 3,700, and after a few moments of thought, his opponent called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds}, and Moneymaker checked. The button bet 6,000, and Moneymaker didn't take long to fold.

Aymon Hata Rivers Flush-Over-Flush

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

With about 16,000 in the pot already, on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Gaelle Baumann bet 7,200. Aymon Hata was in late position and called, as did the player in the hijack.

The river was the {8-Clubs}, and Baumann checked. Hata counted out his stack and paused for a moment before betting 16,000. The hijack counted out his stack, as well, and eventually called. Baumann looked back at her cards, shook her head and mucked.

Hata tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the nut flush, and the hijack flashed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a jack-high flush and tossed his cards into the muck.

Jordan Young from a previous event
Jordan Young from a previous event

The action was folded to Jordan Young on the button, who opened to 700. The small blind three-bet to 2,500, and Young called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and the small blind led out for 2,400. which Young called. The turn was the {10-Spades}, and the small blind bet again for 4,600. Young called again, and the {k-Spades} landed on the river. Both players checked.

Young tabled {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} to scoop the pot.

In the next hand, Young raised to 700 from the cutoff and got called by both the button and the big blind. The flop came {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and Young was able to take down the pot with a bet of 1,500.
