Bloch Prompts a Mandel River Fold

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

From under the gun, Andy Bloch opened to 1,400 and Kin Wong called on the button, as did Kris Lozano and Lloyd Mandel from the blinds.

The flop fell {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and after a Lozano check, Mandel bet out 2,300. Bloch raised to 7,000 and both Wong and Lozano folded as Mandel called.

The turn of the {A-Spades} went check, check, as the dealer delivered the {8-Hearts} on the river.

Mandel checked, Bloch bet 20,000 and Mandel folded. Bloch is now up to 53,000 in chips.

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Sam Soverel three-bet shoved out of the big blind and his opponent quickly called with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Soverel had two over cards with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and got there on the river of a board {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}. That brought Soverel's stack up to more than half the starting stack.

At the same time on a different table, Igor Merda faced two limpers and raised to 2,500 on the button. John Bonora as one of the limpers was the only caller and checked the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Merda continued for 2,200 and Bonora called before announcing a check in the dark. Merda bet the {4-Diamonds} turn for 5,000 and Bonora folded with the words "nice hand."
