Greg Raymer Doubles Duc Nguyen

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Greg Raymer had a 10-high flush but Ducky Nguyen held the ace-high flush and was all in for his remaining 81,000.

Raymer doubled up Nguyen, paid him out, and lost about a third of his stack.

Sammer KOs Two

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A player under the gun opened for a raise to 4,500, and Harald Sammer three-bet to 11,000 a couple of seats over. After one fold, Donald Garrett shoved all in for 41,600, and John David Rogers did the same in the very next set for 43,200. Sammer made the call fairly quickly, though he didn't seem thrilled.

Sammer: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Garrett: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Rogers: {q-}{q-}

Sammer was completely dominated, but an {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop changed that in a hurry. The turn was a {j-Diamonds} and the river a {5-Diamonds}, keeping the two pair best for a double knockout.

With around 14,000 in the middle already and the board reading {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Eric Froehlich from the big blind checked to Doug Polk on the button. Polk put out a bet of 10,700 and Froehlich called.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Froehlich checked again. Polk bet 20,800 and Froehlich counted out his chips. He threw in a call and Polk tabled {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Froehlich nodded and tossed his cards away.

Mahoney Loses Two Three-Bet Pots

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Patrick Mahoney got involved into a three-bet pot with Huy Lam and the duo ended up checking the {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and the {3-Hearts} turn. The {4-Clubs} river also went check, check, and Lam showed {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Mahoney said "you weren't going anywhere, eh?" to which Lam just shrugged.

Soon after, Mahoney raised and called the three-bet to 17,400 by Glen Chadwick in the small blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Chadwick's bet of 25,000 ended the hand right there. Mahoney lost the second hand in a row, but remains the chip leader at his table ahead of Jerome Evans and Paulino Uemura Junior.

Kirkpatrick Takes it on the River

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Michael Kirkpatrick entered the pot with a raise from early position totaling 4,400. Paul Senat called in the cutoff, as did Justin Fawbush in the big blind.

The flop landed {9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Kirkpatrick continued for 8,100 with Senat folding, but Fawbush calling.

The turn landed the {Q-Hearts} and both players checked as the river of the {A-Spades} completed the board.

Fawbush checked, Kirkpatrick bet 10,100, and Fawbush folded.

Elpusan with the Four-Bet

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Mel Elpusan kicked things off in the cutoff with an open to 4,500.

The action folded to Paul Senat in the big blind and he three-bet to 17,000.

Elpusan thought for a few moments, and then four-bet to 44,500.

Senat released and dropped to 435,000 while Elpusan moved to roughly 230,000 in chips.

Seidel's All-in Gets Through

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Erik Seidel came into Day 3 with a short stack of just 20 big blinds but he's not going to sit around and do nothing about it.

The action was folded to the cutoff who raised to 4,500 and the button called. Erik Seidel was in the small blind and shoved all-in for around 41,000. The cutoff quickly mucked his hand and the button thought for a couple moments before eventually throwing his cards away as well.

Kuo Among Short Stacks in Amazon Purple

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

When the pot was pushed to her, Kitty Kuo pointed out that she had announced all in, which the dealer didn't understand. It didn't change the outcome of the hand, but Kuo joked "what's wrong with my English," causing chuckles from Rumen Nanev and Isaac Haxton next to her.

Kuo is among the shorter stacks in contention, along with Pratyush Buddiga, and below are further notables in the Amazon Purple section.
