Saout Jumps Above 9 Million

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

John Hesp raised to 150,000, and Fabio Sousa three-bet to 365,000. Hesp instantly moved all in, and Sousa folded as quickly.

One table over, Artan Dedusha raised from under the gun, and Antoine Saout, in the big blind, was the only caller. Saout checked the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Dedusha continued for 155,000, which Saout called. Both then checked the {9-Spades} turn and {8-Clubs} river.

Saout rolled over {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Dedusha gave him a thumbs up before sending his cards into the muck.

'So F***ing Lucky'

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

When Paul Senat bet 110,000 on the turn of a {5-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Spades} board, Charlie Carrel raised to 420,000. Senat called, and the {k-Spades} completed the board on the river. Senat checked, and Carrel slid out a bet worth 1,050,000. Senat went into the tank, removing his sunglasses, and stared at Carrel. Carrel stared back, and eventually Senat cut out a call and pushed it forward.

Carrel tabled {a-Spades}{2-Spades} for the nut flush, and Senat stood up, saying, "So f***ing lucky," as his cards entered the muck.

Yuan-Yuan Li Runs Into Queens

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Yuan-Yuan Li
Yuan-Yuan Li

After a raise from Wesley Pantling in early position, Yuan-Yuan Li shoved all in for her remaining 795,000. Pantling called, and Li's tournament life was on the line. Pantling showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and Li tabled {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The board ran out {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Li was unable to best the queens of Pantling. Unfortunately for Li, she was eliminated near the end of Day 5, but she can hold her head high as the last woman standing in the 2017 WSOP Main Event.

Zhang Gets Lucky Against Sousa

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Fabio Sousa raised to 115,000 from under the gun, and Jingwei Zhang moved all in from one seat over. Once all opponents had folded and the action was back on Sousa, he instantly called.

Jingwei Zhang: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Fabio Sousa: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

On the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Zhang let out a, "Yes, baby," before immediately apologizing for his outburst. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor the {10-Clubs} river changed the outcome of the hand. and Zhang doubled up for 570,000.

Hallaert Finds a Fold to Stewart's Big River Raise

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Kenny Hallaert raised to 110,000 from middle position, and Scott Stewart three-bet to 355,000 from the hijack. Hallaert called, and then check-called a bet of 280,000 on the {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop. Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn, and the river was the {6-Diamonds}. Hallaert led for 450,000, and Stewart raised to 1,570,000.

The TV cameras swarmed around to try and catch a glimpse of any impeding action. However, their eyes were drawn to an all-in playing out at a neighboring table, and they headed off there.

"At least it's less embarrassing now if I call and you have it," said Hallaert, "What's your name, by the way?"

Stewart remained silent. Eventually, the cameras returned just in time to catch Hallaert fold.

"My name's Scott," replied Stewart, "And I'll tell you at the end of the day, if you'd like." He paused. "After I've checked the seating draw!"

Carrel Predicts the Future, Looks Silly

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

On the {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, small blind Iverson Snuffer bet 125,000, and Charlie Carrel, seated under the gun, called. Both players checked the {10-Spades} on the turn. The river came the {Q-Diamonds}, and Snuffer checked again. Carrel asked to see how much Snuffer had behind and bet 400,000 as soon as he found out it was just under that.

Snuffer leaned forward and spend a little time in the tank.

"You want me to talk?" Carrel asked.

As Snuffer indicated that was okay, Carrel continued, "I'll tell you what's gonna happen. What's gonna happen is, you gonna call with a seven, ace-seven, and I'm gonna look silly."

"Well, you talked me into it," Snuffer said, and he called after about another minute in the tank.

Carrel showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, and Snuffer happily showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Both Carrel and Snuffer laughed as Snuffer doubled.
