Kassouf Folds Top Pair

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

William Kassouf, Takao Shimiza, and another player all saw a flop of {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Kassouf bet out 700, and only Shimiza called to see the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn. Kassouf bet again, announcing "sweet 16" as he bet out 1,600. Shimiza called again, and Kassouf slowed down with a check on the {8-Spades} river.

Shimiza thought for a bit before firing out 4,000, and Kassouf tried his usual banter to get some information from Shimiza, who didn't provide much. Eventually, Kassouf opted to fold, showing the {Q-Diamonds} in the process. Shimiza mucked his cards face down, taking down the pot, and knocking Kassouf down a bit.

Vik Holds

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a board reading {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} with about 3,000 in the pot, a player in the big blind moved all in for just under 5,000. Mike Vik was in the cutoff and called and Kevin O'Donnell folded on the button. Vik showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the big blind tabled {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The board ran out {4-Hearts} and {3-Diamonds} and Vik held on to chip up over 25,000.

Dong Shoves the Turn

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Guo Dong was heads up on the turn of a board showing {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} when he checked to his opponent, who fired out a pot-sized bet of 1,100. Dong thought for just a few moments before he check-raised all in for about 6,300.

"Flush draw," his opponent seemingly joked, as there was no flush draw on board.

"There is no flush draw. You have one pair, right? Should be an easy fold," Dong said as the two talked back and forth for a bit. After about a minute in the tank, he released his hand, and Dong earned the pot, though he is still below his starting stack here in Level 2.

'Runner-Runner, Nothing Funner'

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

With under 1,000 in the pot and the board reading {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Frederico Ottenio got it all in for 5,525 against one other opponent. Ottenio tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for top two pair and his opponent showed {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a set of jacks. The turn was the {q-Clubs}, giving Ottenio a flush draw, and the river came through for him when the {9-Clubs} hit the board. Half the table was in disbelief as Ottenio's opponent just paid off the bet.

Kassouf Bets and Wins

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

With about 1,400 chips already in the middle on a board reading {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}, action checked to William Kassouf on the button and he bet 700, sending one opponent in middle position into the tank. After more than a little table chatter in which Kassouf repeatedly claimed to have a set, his opponent folded, and Kassouf showed the {10-Clubs}, saying he'd actually flopped top pair with top kicker as he took the pot.

Boats Collide

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player under the gun limped in as did the player in middle position and the hijack. Zachariah Marchiondo was in the cutoff and raised to 200. William Kassouf was in the big blind and called as did all of the limpers.

The flop was {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and action checked to Marchiondo who bet 350. Kassouf called and the under-the-gun player did too.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Marchiondo bet 500. Kassouf called and the under-the-gun player raised to 2,000. Marchiondo called and Kassouf folded.

The river was the {k-Spades} and the under-the-gun player moved all in for roughly 7,000. Marchiondo snap-called. His opponent tabled {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Marchiondo showed {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}, both having a full house, but Marchiondo's was better.
