Matt Woodward - 17th Place

Ray Dehkharghani recalled for us how Matt Woodward was recently eliminated from the tournament.

Philip Long raised from under the gun before Woodward reraised from the small blind. Long called and both players watched the flop come {q-}{9-}{2-}. Woodward bet and Long raised. The two exchanged several more bets until Woodward was all in.

Long: {a-}{8-}{2-}{2-}

Long had flopped a set of deuces, which would ultimately win him the hand, resulting in Woodward being the first player eliminated today.

Dermer Doubles Through Soulier and Accuses him of Angling

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Aron Dermer
Aron Dermer

Aron Dermer raised from the button and Fabrice Soulier defended the big blind.

On the {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop Soulier check-raised Dermer's bet and Dermer attempted to move all in however he had too many chips to do so. Before Soulier could act, Dermer flipped over his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a flopped full house.

Soulier sat quietly without saying anything as he hadn't called yet but Dermer said that Soulier had called his shove and accused Soulier of angle shooting. Soulier eventually called the bet so Dermer still had chips behind and he was all in and at risk when the {2-Spades} hit the turn.

Soulier turned over {A-}{K-}{10-}{8-} for a low draw to split the pot but the river was a {K-} and Dermer doubled up.

Dermer then put out his hand to shake Soulier's and make peace however Soulier refused and said "Now you win so you want to shake my hand" and Dermer responded with "#$%* you".

The floor man came over and eventually both players shook hands however the conversation was the hot topic of conversation at the table for a while.
