O'Grady Gets Revenge With a Perfect Turn Card

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Michael O'Grady
Michael O'Grady

From the hijack, Stevan Chew opened with a raise to 600. The player to his left called and action folded to Michael O'Grady in the big blind. He made it 2,100. Chew then four-bet, making it 5,100. The other player in the hand folded but O'Grady called.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and O'Grady checked. Chew put out a small bet of 1,000 and O'Grady called.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and O'Grady checked. Chew then put out 20,000 which was enough to put O'Grady all in. O'Grady quickly called for 8,025 and the cards were tabled.

Stevan Chew: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Michael O'Grady: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The river was the {7-Spades} and that would seal the double up for O'Grady.

"I thought you had kings," O'Grady said after the hand as a frustrated looking Chew sent over the chips.

Chew Bests O'Grady

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Hearts} Stevan Chew bet out 2,000 from the small blind.

"The old two. You got kings?" asked Michael O'Grady, before making the call from middle position.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Chew tossed out 5,000. O'Grady called shortly after.

Both players then opted to check as the {k-Spades} completed the board. Chew showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and took down the pot after O'Grady mucked.

"I thought you might've had that," said O'Grady following the hand.

Khoueis Moves In With Seven-High

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Sam Khoueis
Sam Khoueis

Sam Khoueis opened the action with a limp from under the gun. The player to his left called and in middle position, a player made it 2,100. Action folded back around and Khoueis was the only caller.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Khoueis checked. His opponent put out a bet of 2,000 and Khoueis instantly moved all in for roughly 25,000. Khoueis then leaned over and started talking to some of the player at the adjacent table who were surprised to hear that Khoueis was all in.

"Do you have aces?" Someone at the other table asked.

"I don't have aces, he's got aces," Khoueis said. "If I lose I can come back tomorrow.

This left Khoueis' opponent questioning. "Ace three huh?" He asked.

Khoueis burst out laughing. Eventually, the player folded so Khoueis was awarded the pot.

"I'll show you if you show me," Khoueis said to the other player. The player didn't agree but Khoueis showed his {7-Spades}{6-Spades} anyways.

"I moved in with seven-high!" Khoueis exclaimed. "He's been raising me every hand."

With that, Khoueis inched back to the starting stack mark of 30,000.

A Couple Streets of Value for Kroesen

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Action was on the turn with a board of {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Ricky Kroesen was first to act from the blinds. He put out a bet of 700 and got a call from one opponent just a few seats over in early position.

The river was the {J-Clubs} and this time, Kroesen bet again, making it 1,200. His opponent didn't waste too long to call but was disappointed to see Kroesen's {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair. With that, Kroesen took down the pot and chipped up to about 28,000.

Ajez Mashing

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Najeem Ajez
Najeem Ajez

According to players at the table, Najeem Ajez recently eliminated a player before this hand, making the nut flush to take a massive pot.

In this hand, action was on the flop of {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Paul Rochford was first to act. He put out a bet of 3,500. Ajez was on the button and he raised, making it 8,200. Rochford thought it over for a bit, then called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and both players checked. They checked again on the {4-Clubs} river. Rochford showed down his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair top kicker, but Ajez was holding {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a flopped set. That allowed him to take down the pot as Rochford's pair was no good.

With that pot and the one before, Ajez is now up to nearly 75,000 and is off to a hot start here in the Main Event.
