Battle of the Unknowns

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Stan L. raised to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Michael C. on the button as well as the player in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{x-} and the big blind checked. Stan L. continued for 14,000 before Michael C. re-raised to 40,000. The big blind folded. Stan L. then moved all in for around 130,000. Michael C. called having him covered.

Michael C.: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Stan L.: {a-}{a-}

The board would brick for Stan L. on the turn however the diamond on the river would see him fall to the flush and send Michael C. to the top of the leaderboard.

Westmorland Extracts Some From Blight

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jordan Westmorland raised to 7,000 from the hijack and was called by Craig Blight in the cutoff as well as the player in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Blight who bet 9,500. Only Westmorland came along.

The two then checked it down as the {7-Spades} and {7-Clubs} completed the board.

Westmorland then grinned before tabling {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for a full house and took down the pot after Blight mucked his hand.

Two Bets Gets It Done For Karamalikis

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jonathan Karamalikis opened from middle position with a raise to 6,500 and the player in the big blind was his only taker.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the big blind checked it over to Karamilkis. Karamalikis put out a bet of 6,500 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the big blind checked for a second time. Karamalikis put out another bet of 17,000 and this time the big blind released quickly, so Karamilikis took down the pot and chipped up to right around 155,000.

Rubie Nearly Doubles Without a Flop or Showdown

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Upon arrival at the table, Brendan Rubie was all in for 48,900. He was seated on the button and looked to be five-bet shoving. The other player left in the hand was the small blind who had a raise of 32,400 out in front of him. The player tanked for about a minute and a half before he eventually decided to fold his hand, allowing Rubie to take down the pot without a showdown or a flop. As he folded the player showed the {A-Hearts}. Rubie said nothing as he raked in the pot and chipped up to about 85,000 chips.

Thatcher Takes One Out

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} the player in the big blind bet out 7,400. Jarrod Thatcher then moved all in for 50,600 from the hijack. Ricky Kroesen was on the button and thought about his decision before ultimately mucking his hand. The player in the big blind snap-called with less behind.

Jarrod Thatcher: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Both player had flopped a flush draw with Thatcher's hand dominating his opponent's.

Thatcher was able to dodge straight cards as the board ran out the {2-Diamonds} then {6-Diamonds} to see him take down the pot.

Duranleau Squeezes and Holds

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jesse Mason opened with a raise to 5,500 in middle position and action folded around to the small blind where Michael O'Grady called. Pierre Duranleau was in the big blind and he squeezed all in, shoving for 46,200. Mason folded after giving it a few seconds of thought. O'Grady didn't let go right away though. He asked for an exact count, then called, putting Duranleau at risk.

Michael O'Grady: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Pierre Duranleua: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

The board of {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was safe for Duranleau the whole way, not providing much of a sweat, so he doubled to around 100,000 while O'Grady took a hit and dropped to about 155,000 chips.

Gray Doubles His Opponent

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jason Gray raised to 6,000 from middle position before his opponent re-raised to 16,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back around to Gray who moved all in for 119,700. His opponent snap-called with a total of 44,700 in chips.

Jason Gray: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} putting Gray in the lead with a set and sending his opponent out of his chair in disappointment. He was back in chair a card later when the {k-Spades} dropped on the turn giving him a better set. The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Gray sent over a small amount of chips to his opponent.
