Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jason Gray
Jason Gray

Shivan Abdine raised to 2,000 from the button and was called by James Broom and Jason Gray in the blinds.

All three players checked the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop before the {4-Spades} dropped on the turn.

Broom checked. Gray bet 3,500. Abdine folded. Broom called.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and both players checked. Gray tabled {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines and took down the pot after Broom mucked his hand.

Bownds Eliminated by Gupta

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ash Gupta raised to 2,400 from the cutoff before Ryan Bownds re-raised to 7,100 from the big blind. Gupta called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Bownds tossed out 5,000.

"Jackpot," said Bownds, as he waited for Gupta to decide on his next move.

"For someone," replied Gupta, as he took a moment, before sliding out 40,000 which had Bownds covered.

"I told myself I was going to call no matter what," Bownds added, before committing his stack in.

Ash Gupta: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ryan Bownds: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out the {9-Spades} and {2-Hearts} to see Bownds unable to improve as he hit the rail.

Good Call... Maybe

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The player on the button raised to 3,000 and was called by Zhi Ma in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Ma checked. His opponent continued for 3,000. Ma called.

Both players checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn before the {10-Spades} completed the board.

Ma fired out 7,000. His opponent thought for over a minute before making the call.

"Good call... maybe," said Ma, before tabling {a-Clubs}{3-Spades} for two pair with an ace-kicker.

His opponent then rolled over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for the same hand and the two chopped it up.

The Dragon Gets Tamed

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Najeem Ajez raised to 2,500 from middle position and was called by Dean Blatt in hijack as well as the player in the big blind.

"Why do you keep chasing me?" Ajez said to Blatt. "You poke the dragon and eventually you'll get burnt," he added jokingly.

The flop came down {q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} and the big blind checked. Ajez bet 3,500. Blatt called. The big blind then raised to 11,000. Ajez and Blatt then mucked their hands relatively quickly.

"Thanks for the chips," the big blind announced, before exposing the {2-Spades} then raking in the pot.

Ajez and Blatt didn't really mind as they continued to banter following the hand.
