The second starting day of the 2018 World Series of Poker International Circuit $500 Opening Event at The Star in Sydney saw a slightly larger field emerge in the stunning poker room. After 12 levels of 40 minutes each, the tournament screens showed 301 entries, which boosts the total field to 597 entries.

Once again 56 players bagged up chips and it was Adam Ratten that jumped to the overall lead with 199,400, edging Nurlan Boobekov who claimed 178,200 and Nick Velcic with 169,500 rounding out the top three. Further big stacks include Shelly Pooley (148,000), Jesse Cochrane (139,400), Richard Kellett (139,200), Sean Dorgan (133,000) and Zac Duce (129,700).

Antonis “Toothpick Tony” Kambouroglou finished Day 1b with a respectable 103,800 after making some miraculous calls throughout the day in tricky spots. Other notables that made it through include Suzy Khoueis (100,400), Dan Smith (63,600) and Jerome Tan (39,000).

Some players too not make it through the day include; Andrew Scarf, Robert Damelian, Michael O’Grady, Julian Powell, Reza Vakili, Chad Awerbuch and Daniel Laidlaw.
