Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board of {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} Jordan Westmorland bet 2,000 from the big blind and was called by the player on the button.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Westmorland tossed out 5,500. His opponent went into the tank for a minute before making a call.

Ajez Has to See

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

With around 6,000 in the pot and the board showing {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds} the player in the small blind bet out 4,000 and was waiting on Najeem Ajez to act from the big blind.

"Whenever you bet big you got it," said Ajez, contemplating his decision. The two exchanged small talk before Ajez reluctantly made the call.

Ajez then watched as his opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for trips before mucking his hand.

Another player at the table made a comment to Ajez about the hands he plays.

"Im addicted. I have to see the cards," joked Ajez, responding to his opponent.

Dhingra Overshoves the River

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Gautam Dhingra was facing off against one opponent. There was roughly 15,000 in the pot already and the board showed {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{7-Spades}. Dhingra's opponent checked over to him and Dhingra moved all in. The shove was for about 30,000 effective, although both players had about the same sized stack. Dhingra's opponent dropped into the tank, agonizing over his decision. He took about a minute and a half, but eventually decided to let it go, so Dhingra was awarded the pot.

Earlier in the week, Dhingra finished 3rd in the $5,000 Challenge here at the Star Sydney and he'll look for another strong performance here in this event.

Stan L. has taken out James Broom and Jan Suchanek in several hands to move up to 70,000 in chips.

Firstly, Broom five-bet shoved preflop and was called by Stan L. Broom held {a-}{k-} and was behind to Stan L.'s {q-}{q-}.

Stan L. would improve to a set of queens on the flop and take out Broom.

Moments later Stan L. raised from middle position and was called by Suchanek from the small blind.

The flop came {q-}{q-}{9-} with two diamonds and Stan L. threw out a continuation bet. Suchanek check-called.

A blank came on the turn which saw Stan L. get check-called again before a {9-} completed the board.

Suchanek shoved all in and Stan L. called having him covered. Stan L then showed {q-}{j-} and took down the pot and another opponent after Suchanek mucked his hand.

Karamalikis Gets Away Cheap

Level 4 : 150/300, 0 ante

Action folded to the button where Jonathan Karamalikis opened with a raise to 700. The player in the big blind called and it was on to a flop.

On the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, the big blind checked. Karamalikis continued with a bet of 500 which his opponent just called.

Both players checked on the {A-Spades} turn then checked again on the {2-Spades} river. The big blind showed down his {K-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a full house and Karamalikis quickly mucked, getting away after only losing a few chips.

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} the player in the big blind checked. Mark Yazbeck bet 1,250 from under the gun. Rob Damelian called from the button. The big blind folded.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Yazbeck bet 2,500. Damelian called.

Both players then opted to check after the {2-Spades} completed the board.

Yazbeck then tabled {4-Hearts}{3-Spades} for two-pair before Damelian rolled over his {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a straight.

"You got the three. F*** me dead," said Yazbeck after the hand. "Give me the ace. A six. Anything but the three," he added.
