Kempson Takes From Shaqiri

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
Corey Kempson (earlier in the series)
Corey Kempson (earlier in the series)

Corey Kempson raised to 600 from middle position. Michael Egan raised to 2,000 from the cutoff. Raman Shaqiri snap-called from the button. Kempson made the call.

All three players checked the {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop before the {4-Hearts} dropped on the turn.

Kempson led out for 5,400. Only Shaqiri called.

The {q-Diamonds} completed the board and Kemspon tossed out 22,000. Shaqiri snap-called.

Kempson tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a full house, and raked in the pot, after Shaqiri mucked his hand in disappointment.

Rafferty Building on Feature Table

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
Vincent Huang (left) and Tom Rafferty
Vincent Huang (left) and Tom Rafferty

Over on the feature table, Vincent Huang made it 600 to from the cutoff, with Tom Rafferty (button) the only caller to take the action heads-up to a monochrome {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, which brought checks from both players.

The {5-Spades} turn brought a further two checks, and the {7-Hearts} came off on the river. Huang checked once more and after thinking it over for 30-seconds or so, Rafferty tossed out a single orange 1k chip. Huang looked on the fence about calling or folding but eventually decided on the latter.

Huang dropped to 44,500 after the hand, while Rafferty had evidently been busy as has run his 50k starting stack up to 64,000.

Teska Pressures Abdine

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Roger Teska raised to 800 from under the gun. Shivan Abdine re-raised to 3,000 from the hijack. Teska called.

Both players checked the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop before the {4-Clubs} dropped on the turn.

Teska tossed out 5,000. Abdine called shortly after.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board and Teska splashed out 14,000. Abdine deliberated for a moment before releasing his hand.

Hanlon on the Board

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
David Hanlon
David Hanlon

With the community cards spread {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and 5,000 in chips already in the pot, George Mitri and David Hanlon were heads-up and Mitri led for 2,500 out of the big blind.

Hanlon flicked in the call to swell the pot to 10,000 and the dealer peeled of the {2-Clubs} river. This saw Mitri check it over to Hanlon, who decided the right amount to bet was 6,500.

Mitri made the call but pitched his cards into the muck when Hanlon turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to rake in the pot and climb to 61,500, while Mitri dropped to 39,500.
