Registration Closed

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

The action is now underway once more in the AU$20,000 High Roller, with Corey Kempson and Sosia Jiang the last two players to re-enter, bringing the total number of entries up to 53, which justs exceeds the AU$1m guarantee.

That means there are now 22 players remaining in contention and with the registration period now closed, that means any bust outs from this point onward are final. Prize pool details to follow shortly.

Dinner Time

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The words 'action-packed level' are not able to do justice to just how high-octane the last 45-minutes have been, with players dropping like flies.

A total of five players hit the rail during a level that saw the largest pot of the tournament played, with Michael Egan the main benefactor of all that carnage to take the chip lead into the 30-minute dinner break.

The 20 remaining High Rollers have headed off for a bite to eat, with the registration period closing upon their return.

Jiang Eliminated by Abdine

Michael Egan raised to 4,000 from the button. Sosia Jiang moved all in for 17,900 from the small blind. Shivan Abdine then shoved for 86,000 from the big blind. Egan thought for a minute before opting to fold.

Abdine: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Jiang: {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Jiang was unable to improve as the board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Spades} sending her to the rail for the fourth time.

Second Bullet For Edwards Lasts One Hand

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Luke Edwards
Luke Edwards

Roger Teska raised to 8,000 from the button. Luke Edwards was in the big blind, and after just taking his seat at his new table, moved all in for 48,000. Teska called.

Teska: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Edwards: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} sending Edwards into the lead with top pair.

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing.

The {q-Diamonds} would spike on the river, giving Teska the best hand with a higher pair, resulting in Edwards hitting the rail.

Egan Busts Kempson in Biggest Pot So Far

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Michael Egan rakes in a monster pot
Michael Egan rakes in a monster pot

Cards and chips were scattered all over the table with the community cards spread {7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and over 300k in the pot.

Michael Egan was in the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} face-up on the felt and stacks were being counted down with Corey Kempson the other man in the hand, holding {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

According to Egan the two had got into a pre-flop raising war with all the chips going in before the flop.

Kempson had around 600 left after the hand and pushed it across the table at Egan.

"I don't give a f*** if I've got 600 left, you have it, I'm done," said Kempson as he headed out of the tournament leaving Egan to scoop the monster pot.
