Argyros Doubles Through Chiu

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Billy Argyros
Billy Argyros

An increasingly lively Billy 'the croc' Argyros will only be getting livelier after scoring a double-up through Edwin Chiu.

Before the hand was dealt Argyros asked Chiu nicely if he could get a double-up and, proving that manners pay off, that's exactly what happened.

It was Rehman Kassam who kicked off the action with a raise to 60,000 from the cutoff and Chiu slid out a stack of dark blue 100k chips for a re-raise of 1 million from the small blind.

Argyros peeked down at his hole cards and called all-in for his tournament life for 515,000 and Kassam took the hint and got out of the way.

Edwin Chiu: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Billy Argyros: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

"Curly, I'm all-in!" shouted Argyros to Emmanuel 'curly' Seal, who wandered over to lend some moral support and the dealer spread a flop of {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

"That's good, keep it low," said Argyros, and while the dealer did not quite comply, with the {k-Clubs} turn and {k-Diamonds} river, both were safe cards for Argyros and he climbed to 1,090,000 and Chiu was forced to cut a rampart from his chip castle and ship it over to drop to 3,300,000.
