A ballsy bluff by Huss Hassan backfired, with Steven Zhou picking him off on the river.

It was Hassan the man raising pre-flop, making it 225,000 from the button with both Zhou (small blind) and John Zwaine (big blind) making the call to take the action three-way to a monochrome flop of {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

After both blinds checked, Hassan led for 275,000 with Zhou the only caller. The {j-Spades} turn saw both players check, with the {k-Clubs} river bringing in four to a flush.

Zhou checked it over to Hassan for a third time and he reached for a big stack of the dark blue 100k chips for a river bomb of 1,050,000.

Zhou did not take long to make the call and Hassan brassily flipped over {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for six-high. Zhou scooped the pot with {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

A couple of hands later, Lior Segre and Chao Duan got into it in a button versus blinds confrontation that left Segre a little short. It was Segre who was the initial raiser, making it 255,000 to go on the button, with Duan re-raising to 650,000 from the small blind.

The rest of the table got out of the way and after a few seconds thinking it over, Segre made the call to take play heads-up to a flop of {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, which Duan led for 350,000.

Segre called to bring in the {9-Hearts} turn but that was as far as the hand went. After close to 2 minutes in the think tank Duan pulled the trigger and moved all-in, with Segre making a quick fold.
