Chahine Flashes the Goods

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The flop showed {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Simon Chahine checked first from the big blind. The player under the gun bet 1,400. The other three players in the hand called before the action fell back on Chahine. He raised to 8,700. One by one his opponent's all mucked their hands.

Chahine smiled and flashed his {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for two pair before raking in the pot to see him rise above 50,000 in chips.

Small Pot Between Graham and Forrester

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jarred Graham raised to 500 from under the gun plus one and was called by Barry Forrester in the cutoff.

Both players checked the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop before the {2-Hearts} dropped on the turn.

Graham slid out 500. Forrester called.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Graham bet out 1,500. Forrester quickly mucked and Graham was awarded the pot.

Morris Takes One Out

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The board showed {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and over 10,000 had already accumulated in the pot.

The player in the hijack checked his option before Luke Morris tossed out 5,000 from the cutoff. His opponent then moved all-in for 24,400. Morris agonised over his decision for over a minute before finally making the call.

Morris: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Morris had the lead with a set of queens against his opponent who was drawing to a straight and flush.

The {3-Hearts} on the river didn't change anything and Morris was awarded the pot.

Amiri Triples; Putt Eliminated

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante
Graeme Putt
Graeme Putt

Graeme Putt moved all in for his remaining 1,300 from under the gun before Andrew White raised to 2,600 from under the gun plus one. Ehsan Amiri moved all-in for his last 1,000 from the hijack.

Amiri: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
White: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Putt: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} awarding Amiri with the main pot after rivering a straight.

White would turn an ace to best Putt's small pocket pair sending him to the rail early in the day's proceedings.

Xu Triples Up in the Second Hand of the Day

Gaojie Xu

The action started with Graeme Putt raising to 400 from under the gun plus one. Andrew White then re-raised to 1,400 from the next seat over. Gaojie Xu called from middle position as did Ehsan Amiri from the cutoff. Putt called.

The flop came {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Putt and White checked. Xu fired out 3,100. Amiri quickly called. Putt and White followed shortly after.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and once again Putt and White checked. Xu slid out 14,000.

"Might be a quick one," announced Amiri, after moving all in for 25,600.

Putt then made the call with 26,900 behind. White got out of the way. Xu snap-called.

Xu: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Amiri: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Putt: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

Xu had flopped a straight and led against Amiri and Putt who both had big pieces of the board.

The {7-Hearts} on the river would change nothing resulting in Xu tripling up in only the third hand of the day.
