An interesting hand played out in a multiway pot involving the recently arrived George Mitri and Dmitriy Tymoshenko that saw the former win with nine-high.
It was a limped pot, with Tymoshenko the man on the button and Mitri (small blind) and a player in the big blind in the hand. The 
flop saw the action checked to Tymoshenko, who fired for 800 with Mitri the only caller.
The 
came in on the turn to pair the board and brought two checks, as did the 
river. This is where things got interesting as Mitri checked and had his cards poised over the muck to fold. However, after some time in the tank, Tymoshenko checked it back, mucking when Mitri turned over 
.
"If I had a better hand than four high I'd bet," signed Tymoshenko as Mitri giggled and raked in the pot.

Brad Kain's Main Event is off to a decent start, and he has just padded out his stack a little more courtesy of Edward Kim after betting the river with 
for a pair of sevens on a nine-high board, with Kim mucking as soon as Kain rolled over his hand.
Kain is now up to 90,000 but the man currently leading the charge appears to be Malcolm Trayner who has run his stack up to 118,000, with David Hirst a close second with 112,000. Other notables are stacking up as follows:

Camphausen and Ma Battle

Marc Camphausen and Zhi Ma have played a few pots together already today and we caught the duo in action once again, with Camphausen winning the first exchange witnessed.
With the board reading 
Camphausen took down the 4,000 pot with a half pot sized bet, flashing Ma the flush as he raked in the pot.
The next hand occurred an orbit or so later, with a player in middle position opening the action with a raise to 1,000. Ma made the call from the button before Camphausen three-bet to 4,000 from the big blind, with Ma the only caller.
The flop fell 
and saw no betting, with the dealer burning and turning the 
, which also saw no betting. The 
river saw Camphausen check for a third time and Ma decided to take a stab for 6,000, which was enough to win the hand.

Tay Wins Small One From Karamalikis

Vincent Tay made it 1,200 to go from under-the-gun with Dmitriy Tymoshenko calling from one seat over and Jonathan Karamalikis calling from the small blind to take the action three-way to a flop of

Karamalikis checked the action over to Tay who continuation bet 1,200 which folded out both Tymoshenko and Karamalikis leaving Tay free to scoop the pot and climb to 40,000.

Attenborough and the Croc in the Mix

There have been several late arrivals, with Bill 'the croc' Argyros and $5k Challenger runner-up Adrian Attenborough both in the running and seated next to each other at the same table, which should be good for some fun and games.
Following a limp from a player seated in middle position, a player in the cutoff called, as did Attenborough from the small blind and the player seated in the big blind also came along for the ride to take play 4-way to a flop of 
.
This saw Attenborough lead for 500 and both the middle position player and the cutoff call to take the action three-way to the turn.
Both Attenborough and the player in middle position checked and the cutoff bet 1,200 with Attenborough the only caller.
The 
river completed a possible club flush and Attenborough chose to lead out for 1,400. After some time in the think tank, the player in the cutoff shook his head sadly and mucked, leaving Attenborough free to rake in the pot.

Following checks from both Karamalikis and Godden, Tymoshenko continuation bet 700 with Gooden the only caller. The turn was checked by both, with the 
repeating on the river. Gooden now chose to lead for 1,600, but quickly mucked when Tymoshenko re-raised to 6,000 in total to win the hand.
