"You Can Have It, Amit"

"Big pot here," murmurs Gary Jones from the rail.

I dash over to stumble across a sumptuous four-way pot, three players, including Rafi Amit and Phil Gordon all calling Hoyt Corkins' 6.5K preflop raise to create a circa 25K pot.

Flop = {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

All the players check round to Rafi Amit, who bets out 30K, the majority of his stack.

"Go on Rafi," cheers Gary under his breath.

The two limp callers quickly throw in their cards, only for Hoyt to ask for a count.

His cowboy hat uncharacteristically removed, the bald-as-a-coot Hoyt mulls over his decision pensively, rubbing his chin and eyeing up the stack of Amit. He glances down at his own stack, checks his cards and continues to dwell.

Meanwhile, Amit's eyes stay fixed on the felt, his right hand nonchalantly riffling chips as if he doesn't have a care in the world.

After a while, the initial raiser opts for a fold allowing the bracelet winner to snap up a big pot uncontested.

"What do you think Hoyt had?" I asked Gary.

"Well, he could easily have had aces," replied Gary. "He's good enough to fold, especially on that flop. aces isn't much of a hand without the flush draw."
