THE FIFTY-- Gus Hansen finally arrived at the casino with just a few minutes remaining in the second level and has taken the seat to Greg Raymer's right that was recently vacated by Noel Furlong. His stack sits at a remarkably healthy 17,650 after being blinded off for nearly four hours.

One of our eagle-eyed readers told us that Hansen was involved in a $200-$400 pot-limit Omaha game on Full Tilt during the Main Event's early hours. Guess it was too juicy to leave...

Can anyone Stop the Grinder?

The Grinder
The Grinder
The Sportsman......

The Grinder should really be called the Bulldozer, now that he has amassed a big stack he is putting on a clinic on playing with a chip lead. He is entering most of the pots and reraising people off made hands. When this boy has chips he is unstoppable and he has plenty of chips.

That said, he has just doubled up a very short Paul Wasicka, but still sits on a good 60,000.

Oh well, at least snoopy got to use his pun
Oh well, at least snoopy got to use his pun
Yippeeeeeee!

Whilst it's elation for me for the opportunity to use my pun, it's chagrin for Andy Bloch who has just been eliminated by poker vixen Jennifer Harman.

On a {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Bloch moved all-in for circa 10k with {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} only to be called by Harman and her {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. A raggy {4-Spades} and {Q-Hearts} on the turn and river respectively and that was all she wrote for Bloch who is sent hurtling to the rail.

A chip off the old Bloch would be an understatement... groan!

Farzad Bonyadi Doubles Up

THE FIFTY-- With the board reading {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} on the turn, Farzad Bonyadi moved all in for a little over 5,000 and got a call. His opponent tabled {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush draw while Bonyadi showed {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for second pair. The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and Bonyadi's two pair earned him a double-up.
