Don't Live a Little, Live Alioto

(Omaha)

Former WSOPE bracelet winner Dario Alioto has just doubled through courtesy of once chip leader Tristan Clémençon. On their backs, Clémençon had the goods with {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} versus {8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} on a board of {2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. This meant the Italian required a spade or one of three knaves, the former of which arrived in the shape of the {4-Spades}. Clémençon, usually a picture of stoicism, was unable to resist a slight shake of the head, whilst a fortunate Alioto tapped the table in triumph and scooped in the pot.
