Trips for Kivelio

In a battle of the blinds encounter, Aarno Kivelio (small blind) and Jani Vilmunen (big blind) saw a cheap {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Both players checked.

On the {6-Spades} turn, Kivelio led for 30,000, before firing 50,000 on the {Q-Spades} after his fellow countryman had made the call.

Vilmunen adopted a familiar stance: elbows on tables, heads resting on hands, fixed stare on his opponent... and then made the call.

Kivelio tabled {J-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for flopped trips. Vilmunen mucked his hand.

Ross Boatman Eliminated in 4th (£69,030)

Ross Boatman
Ross Boatman
Whilst we were still recovering from the last exit, Ross Boatman was busy moving all in and sweating another showdown. This time it was Aarno Kivelio looking to send him to the rail.

With {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades} against {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}, the Finn was in commanding shape, and after a {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board, Britain's hopes of a Omaha bracelet turned to dust.

Boatman left to a nice ripple of applause, and also the odd chant - mainly from the Irish contingent propping up the bar - who burst into an intoxicated chorus of: "There's only one Rocky Boatman!"

Check-Raise from Lederer

Jani Vilmunen - easily the most aggressive player at the final table - raised it up preflop and Howard Lederer called in the small blind. On the {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop, Lederer check-raised the Finn's continuation bet of 70,000 to 220,000, and Vilmunen gave it up.

Boatman Doubles Through

Don't rule him out just yet, as the Hendon Mobber has doubled through after just one hand. With Jani Vilmunen making it 63,000 preflop, Boatman pushed all in and Vilmunen made the call.

Access to the feature table is limited, but we are able to report that Boatman triumphed with {A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts} on an {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board.
