Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

With an average stack of 29,700 chips, we've almost lost half the field with 2.5 hours still left to play. The average in big blinds is 74, which is still a very good number.

Trickett Forced to Fold The River

With Bruno Fitoussi and Tony G putting the world to rights over a glass of red, four players shared a flop of {Q-Spades} {9-Hearts} {7-Clubs}. The action folded around to the table captain - Sam Trickett - who bet 1,300 and two players called. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Jean Benguigui took the betting lead making it 5,700 to play and both players called. The final card was the {2-Spades} and Benguigui bet 9,500 and both players folded.

Seiver Surrenders to Haavisto

Alexander Kuzmin raised to 1,200 in first position, Ville Haavisto called a few seats to his left, Scott Seiver called on the button and Phil Hellmuth made it a foursome from the big blind.

The flop was as dry as an Arabs flip-flop: {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {5-Spades}.

The action checked to Seiver who bet 3,200, Hellmuth and Kuzmin folded before Haavisto raised pot (14,600). Seiver made more faces than Mr Potato head before eventually surrendering his hand.

2nd WSOP Bracelet?

In June this year, Elie Payan won $292,825 and a WSOP bracelet after defeating 1017 entries in the $1,500 PLO event. There is a very long way to go in this event but he is currently the chip leader as he tries to win his second bracelet of 2011. We just caught him getting some value on the river in the following hand.

On a board of {6-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} Payan was seated in the big blind. There was a bet of 12,200 strewn out in front of him and Jan Jachtmann was the player facing a decision from the button. He made the call and Jachtmann flipped over {K-Spades} {7-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {5-Spades} to win the hand with a straight and Jachtmann was left thumping the table in frustration.

Jachtmann ~ 21000

Run It Once

The Reigning Champ Hangs On!

Our reigning champion, Jeff Lisandro, has just clung on to his tournament survival against our chip leader

On a board of {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} both Jeff Lisandro and Elie Payan got it in and here were the hands:

Payan{K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {5-Spades}
Lisandro{Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}

Lisandro was ahead but had to avoid a lot of cards, that was until the {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Lisandro the boat.
